I did a ton of researching last night and Monero (XMR) really got me thinking it could be the main or top 3 digital currency.
Reasons why: People using the deep web will continue to grow and there’s a lot of foreign countries just starting to use the internet. People would rather use Monero to be more anonymous. Bitcoin isn’t really untraceable. Monero is. Monero is becoming more and more popular on purchases on the deep web. This will obviously only grow as internet is still in its early stages. Let’s imagine the deep web in the future becomes the typical google (for example) Young kids and adults 18-30 are going to be way more interested in making money on the internet and paying digitally while watching your coin grow in value instead of losing its value like a dollar (usd) some 17 year old dishwasher while in high school puts his 250$ check in his savings and gains basically nothing. He tries putting it in a crypto and watches it double in a few days that’s going to automatically make that generation lean towards crypto currency IMO.

Also, think of million/billionaires that want to try avoid taxes and turning their usd into xmr then sending that your ledger Nano. Now obviously not paying taxes on what you cash out is illegal, but there WILL be those rich people finding loop holes and hiring lawyers to help protect their funds. I think this will be becoming more and more popular. Imagine one millionaire telling his millionaire buddy how much they save by transferrring some of their money to monero and not reporting it. It will be a domino effect. I’m trying to find the article I was reading about all this but can’t find it atm, but had a lot of good points.

I just feel there’s so much potential in cryptocurrency especially as the internet only started booming in the 90s in the USA to where there’s a lot of other countries internet age is just starting to boom.

What wallets do you guys use? Any good free ones?

I have some XRP, XLM, BCN, and XVG sitting in exchanges right now but don't know if there is a free safe wallet to hold all of them, I might need to get a few different ones.

I might be wrong but wallets only hold Bitcoin, Ether and Litecoin. So if you want to hold o to the smaller ones then you need to rely on the exchanges.

I use Coinbase. Seems to be th most popular.

The more I read into xmr the more confident I am in the coin. It’s what bitcoin intended to be. Bitcoin isn’t untracable and I’ve been reading more and more reports of people hiding their assets with xmr. Just wait until financial advisors for million/billionaires catch the wave and show them how much money they can save on taxes using monero. Ik it’s wrong or whatever but all rich people are greedy and will do anything to lower taxes they are going to have to pay. It’s going to be a dominio effect, I’m telling you guys now.

I ended up selling a little of my Ltc and Eth for some xmr. I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes over a grand during summer or definitely by the end of 2018. More and more people are finding out bitcoin isn’t as annonymous as they thought.

I could see other countries following especially doing business you don’t want other countries knowing about. I just have a good feeling about this one

I’m starting to get skeptical of Trx and other penny coins. I just don’t see how Trx goes from 22 cents back down to .08 without manipulation or something going down. Same for Req, booming from 70 cents to 1.17 overnigt then drops back down .90 now back now to .65. Idk it’s just shady. I’m going to hold all the alt coins I bought for pennies just in case one would take off one day but the more I’m gaining experience with cryptocurrency I feel a lot safer going with a more stable coin. Yeah you might have to pay 400-1k for one but at least they seem stable. I really thought Req’s platform would take off better than it is.

Another way I look at is even if these other currencies fail and bitcoin remains the dominant one and keeps growing, litecoin and bitcoin cash will grow with it. I believe the theory that Litecoin is bitcoins silver while bitcoin is the gold. And people need to remember what even made bitcoin popular to begin with, deep web purchases to remain anonymous. Then it went from there and eventually went mainstream. However, now the feds are busting mostly fentanyl dealers on the deep web who thought they were invincible because they were using bitcoin and seizing their wallets too. The feds have bitcoin figured out. Bitcoin is going to have to become a more regular payment method at grocery stores, Amazon, eBay, Legit purchases for it to explode anymore. Idk if I see that happening when there’s already debit/credit cards though. But that’s not why it was originally created.

Xmr on the other end fixed those annonymous issues that bitcoin lacked. I even read the other day cartels were using their dirty money to transfer to Bitcoin and made bitcoin purchases to each other and still got busted and everything seized. Cartels, drug lords, politicians, are now realizing the potential of xmr. I figure if xmr fails then bitcoin keeps rises which means gains regardless. If bitcoin fails I’d at least have a few other coins that have potential to take over. Annonymous is key.

Also wanted to mention deep onion might be worth a buy it’s 12$ currently. One of these coins are going to dominant the tor network. I still have faith in monero. But there are advantages of deep onion too. Deep onion is growing pretty fast too. This will be my next purchase I think.

Guys. I'm very surprised by your shock about TRX. It has been well known for weeks that this was a scam coin. They completely plagiarized their white paper and only became popular because of a genius marking plan. They have no product. Look at the coins you invest in and ask yourself, is this a real world application?

I'm not going to go back to find my comment, but all of you invested in XRP can expect the same unless some crazy scenario involving banking adopting Ripple. This coin is the exact opposite of everything crypto is about and should fail.

Monero, Litecoin, Dash...these are real coins. Saying that, I own none of them. But they are at least legit. Even Ethereum has questions... DYOR!!!

Yeah I never trusted ripple. I remember even a few years ago when it was real cheap people were saying not to buy it. The only value it holds is hype and the only defense people have for it is a few banks tested it out. Hopefully Trx goes back to around 20 cents then I’m selling out. I’m f---ing pissed. Honestly all this shady s--- is what made me go to monero today. What do you think of Req @Howie Should I sell it before it completely collapses or with it not being a currency do you see potential in it.

And if you like monero, check out deep onion. It has some advantages over monero just as monero has some advantages over onion. It’s only at 12.89 and some people think it’s an upgraded monero and will end up worth more eventually but I’m not buying that.
