Sep 30, 2015 But it's really well written. He shows a lot of self awareness confronting some of his biggest criticisms and insecurities but shrugs it off since its coming from this girl thats just a "devil in a new dress". Always Loved the concept. Seems to me like you just dont get the song since your critique of it is so broad and generic, which instantly disqualifies you from claiming whether its over/underrated.
Sep 30, 2015 It's about indulgence and regret. (Kanye mainly tho) That's the only valuable thing in this. But it's not upholdable to Ye's standards imo. Mainly because it misses a clear concept (and i dislike Ross heavily.. even his verse on here)
Sep 30, 2015 Ok. So indulgence and regret are pretty strong sentiments. And you say its the only valuable thing in the song, so you clearly agree that it was well delivered. Yet you claim theres no real feelings or emotions in this? Which is it? It seems to me like youre simply trying to discredit it just for the sake of it or making s--- up as you go along.
Sep 30, 2015 It's not well delivered, it's not up to Ye's standard imo BECAUSE it still misses a clear concept. Ross ruined the coherent feeling started by Ye icw the music.
Sep 30, 2015 Hold on.....he praises the lyrics on Yeezus.....but downs the lyrics on this? Okayyyyyy. Whatever helps ya sleep at night, Bub. I guess he was so passionate when he delivered that lyric about eating Asian p---- when all he needed was Sweet and Sour Sauce. He is a God. We are New Slaves.....to retail therapy, vanitty, and big money corporations. And so and so forth. The narrative on Yeezus was semantically vacant and just filled with poly non-sequiturs out the posterior. Just saying. Sounds like you overrated Yeezus to me. I guess the general consensus is a little bit over-the-top with all the exaltation this project gets like it was some definitive magnum opus or something. Meh. Label me a part of the minority that will have to respectfully disagree with that assertion.
Sep 30, 2015 So you think you're making a convincing point by generalizing some lines from Yeezus? Try to keep it simple big guy.
Oct 1, 2015 h--- no. Some of Kanyes best lyrics. Mike deans guitar solo is godly. Rick ross' verse is the best I've ever heard him sound. not overrated
