He came into the genre and showed that you could be yourself and still be successful, in a time when the majority of hip-hop was put into a box of "being a G", and people trying to be 50 cent, I mean, have you seen how Eminem looked during this period? Then Kanye came along and broke down that s-----y divide between pop rap & gangsta rap, making it okay to make music that wasn't trendy bs. Artist's like Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino & Drake wouldn't have been accepted back in 2003 as legitimate. Now, they can be, thanks to what Yeezy did. I don't want this thread made EVER again, because Kanye was one of the best g.d. things to happen to Hip-Hop and its evolution.

Now people like drake who have ghost writers are on top of the game because of kanye. now people who do pop like iggy are accepted in hip hop because of kanye. He killed the origins of the genre of hip hop. people were themselves waaay before kanye. kanye simply added a pop sound, and a fake attitude and ghost writers and made it ok. kanye was the end of hip hop as a genre. its now mixed with s-----y pop and rock and everything else. cant tell the difference.
