Feb 21, 2015 s--- takes me back man. If it wasn't for MBDTF being so great, Grad would be my favorite Ye album.
Feb 21, 2015 It has lots of great songs but its my least favourite, even though most of the tracks are great I just don't think it makes for a very great album overall it's just a bit linear.
Feb 22, 2015 i think graduation is his worst album. most of my friends who are critics think it's his best.
Feb 22, 2015 Not a fan of Barry Bonds or Drunken Hot Girls. Otherwise albums great. Don't know why it gets hated on so much. I was pumped to see Mos Def on the album but with that LA LA LA LA LA LA at the beginning of Drunken Hot Girls I just got to hit skip. EDIT: Flashing Lights definitely takes me back to first year University. Siiick shiiiit.
Feb 23, 2015 Every Kanye album is a masterpiece and a classic so this is no different. All his albums are 8/10
Feb 23, 2015 I'd be curious why they think that? I always thought Graduation was the sort of album Kanye could've kept making with diminishing returns if he were a lazier artist (sort of akin to Eminem's retread of the same sorts of songs/themes) Not a bad album, but graduation definitely the weakest of his discography
Feb 23, 2015 I can see why people would call it his best depending on the perspective they're coming from. It is his least challenging album, probably the most accessible to rap-only fans (maybe tied with CD in that way) and is his most commercially oriented album. If those are your standards, you might think that CD was great, he fell off a bit with LR, came back with his best work in Graduation, and then went 'too experimental' after that.
Feb 24, 2015 One of the best opening tracks ever..... Tied best Kanye album with all other 5 and his upcoming album
Feb 24, 2015 What make sense is this album has confirmed ghostwriting by Big Sean and is considered his worst along with Yeezus which CyHi ghostwrote. The rest of the albums, which he mainly wrote himself are considered better. This proves Ye is a great writer. >>>Ye critics
Feb 24, 2015 no it isn't a classic album, it's his weakest. Still very good though, for sure Hard to dislike an album with Flashing Lights, Can't Tell Me Nothing, The Glory, etc. It's a mistake to act as if it didn't push boundaries in some ways, though. captain awesome, I get what you're saying, but this was hardly a complacent effort. As sonically adventurous as Yeezus and 808s? Of course not. But name me other rap songs in 1997 that were exploring territory like I Wonder and Flashing Lights and Stronger...you're not gonna find too many.
