Alfredo - Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist

    Score: 100

Absolute masterclass here. Wow. Freddie with the top tier raps and Al coming through with his mindblowing production and you have an amazing 10 track album that does exactly what it sets out to accomplish. I hope they run it back again one day because we absolutely need that s---. All the features did their part, you guys know I absolutely will always love to see a Tyler feature, and the song is even greater in context of the entire album. Freddie gets my first 100/100 in the discog deep dives!

Fetti - Freddie Gibbs, Curren$y, and The Alchemist

    Score: 9.0

Well, Freddie being my second favorite project from Freddie Gibbs did not last long. This project was brilliant. Wonderful production from Alc as usual while Freddie and Curren$y bring out the best in each other on every track. I am shocked I do not hear this album get brought up more, it deserves much more love. It's rare I say this about projects, but I wish it was longer!

I probably have OCD hahaha but at the same time I like numbers, stats and lists so you pair that with music and boom you have this thread.

Also having things in lists like this makes me stay committed. I would not have done these deep dives this quick or at all had I not made a list and kept it updated on here and AOTY.

Just realized too, if I finish Freddie's discog today (which I will, the rest of the albums are all under an hour with the next two not even being 30 minutes long), I am still averaging only about 2.5 albums a day which is totally reasonable

If I haven't already proven my thing with stats and numbers enough ^^

Only having one class on Monday Wednesday Friday, listening during the breaks in my day on Tuesday and Thursday, and also listening to music while doing school work (even though it slows down my work productivity a bit lol). Just replaced my habit of watching YouTube/shows/movies while working with listening to music

I have literally 0 assignments to do next week besides write an essay that's not due until the 25th so Freddie Gibbs discog and an essay about The Great Gatsby seems to be my week next week

Bando Stone and The New World - Childish Gambino

    Score: 8.0

Great ending to this discog marathon, and if I'm not wrong, the final Childish Gambino album. Only had one miss, that being the intro track, other than that I liked the project! Lithonia has been stuck in my head since the Summer, Talk My s--- is a b-----r, as well as Yoshinoya, and it was a treat seeing Yeat on this project too. Gambino's longest album, right at an hour, and you don't really feel it. Great way to close out a discography.

    Childish Gambino Ranked:

    1. Because the Internet - 9.0
    2. "Awaken, My Love!" - 8.5
    3. Bando Stone and The New World - 8.0
    4. Atavista - 8.0
    5. Kauai - 8.0
    6. Camp - 7.5

Discovered last night that Freddie Gibbs has 16 different albums listed under his Spotify, gonna have my work cut out for me! Longest discog yet beating out The Weeknd and DOOM both having 10 listed albums.

"Awaken, My Love!" - Childish Gambino

    Score: 8.5

Another great album from Childish Gambino. I appreciate how every project sounds so vastly different from the last. Seeing the progression from Camp has been insane. Couple classics on here, Me and Your Mama and of course Redbone. Can someone tell me what the f--- he was thinking with California though? That one just wasn't great to me at all. Only skip on the album too.

Cool little EP, not much to say about it. Liked every track, listened while I did some cleaning. Very summertime, very good vibes. Sober is a classic, forgot all about it.

This Is Why is interesting cause it feels like a natural evolution between the bands work and Hayley's solo albums converging, it is pretty different from an energy and instrumentation standpoint but I know you'll definitely like at least 2 other albums from them.

Going from an album like Camp to this is nuts. This album was beautiful all around, from production to the vocals. You can tell this is what he was going for on select songs from Camp, but this is where he achieves what he was aiming for. This album lives up to the hype that people have been giving it for years, and I am NOT disappointed by any means. Awesome project that I will be coming back to.

I need to listen to their discography still too. I’ve only heard This Is Why but that was amazing album. I’ve heard people say it’s different from their previous work though so it makes me curious how I’ll feel about their other albums although I’ll probably like those too
