    On one hand it would make the site more fun but it would also drive ppl away and this site needs all the active memebrs it can get no offense

    I'd say for sure try it out see how it goes maybe it'll drive that nas stan away could be good

    ideally, i'd prefer the SL system where it still counts as a point up with a like and a point down with a dislike while still showing who liked & disliked the post

    if it's anonymous, it'll EASILY be abused

    see: when we made the rep system anonymous on SL

    Agree. In that case if you feel like someone abuses it you can mention it. I see the anonymous version on news sites sometimes but on there nobody actually knows eachother. On here it's better to show it, exactly how you just described it.

    also @Koolo i'd like to offer up an ultimatum. since it's a pretty even split and the idea is eitheir "ye do it" or "no, trolls will abuse it and its a bad idea" why not just enable it in the off-topic section? IMO TBQH it gets rid of just about every negative people are putting forward, and if people don't want their posts disliked, they just don't have to post in off-topic.

    win win imo.
