    Also why is it that when an artist dies the album to get the most listens is the greatest hits? I guess it's pretty self explanatory but looking at the best of Dmx album theres so much more better songs than a lot of the ones featured at least IMO, I just feel like listening to the greatest/best of is a lazy way to get into someone.

    That's literally the only reasonable explanation for this but I doubt that's the case, either way 200 is a lot. I just don't like the idea of when he's alive let's just price them at 20 to get them out as quick as possible but now he's passed so let's capitalize and put that b---- to 200. Maybe I'm just a dumbass though idk.

    Kind of sad how situations like this stuff always gets milked, I get that in this case it's probably the branding but on second hand websites you'll see people asking 50 to 100 plus for a Dmx "rare vintage" shirt that's obviously not legit yet people out there still dumb enough to buy it

    I did shed a tear while listening to a DMX song after hearing he was basically dead at the hospital. First time I've felt actual sadness over an artist's death.

    Full blown crying/sobbing over the death of someone you never met is a bit much imo but who knows, everyone's situation is different.

    For me the emotional response comes from what the music meant to me. Like how much it helped me during a s-----y time in my life and to know the artist is now gone is sad.

    Listening to Lord Give Me a Sign after hearing about X being in the hospital gave me watery eyes cause it brought me right back to that rough time period back in 07 when I was listening to that song daily and how much it helped me.

    So yea, it's perfectly normal to be sad over an artist's death, especially if what they did helped you get through tough times.

    yeah that makes sense, and I was sad about Nate Dogg dying too, and also remember he died on my moms birthday. With that being this DMX death is completely different for me. I think this hurts because of everything you said because I would get so happy when it looked like DMX was healthy, and beating his demons. Ex when I saw him with that belly in verzuz I couldn’t stop smiling. I think this also hurts because DMX was my first favorite rapper as a kid, and I have so many memories of just listening to his music etc. Like me finding out that Walmart doesn’t sale explicit albums. I was at Walmart in like 07, and I saw like DMX greatest hits type of album. I read the tracklist, and was like oh s--- this got some fire, so I brought it, went home to play it on my CD player, and the first song comes on, and it was edited like crazy. I looked at that CD, and saw no explicit stamp, and was like dumbass. Found it lol seeing that cover just made me laugh

    D12WORLD the album is named after the message board... not the other way around.... Proof would post in threads and make threads about dumb bs like a regular poster... he would make shout out videos and you would have to redownload REALplayer or Quicktime to see if he mentioned you... then pretend it wasn't a big deal if he did.
