Like, yes, neocons have stayed away, George Will has left the party. But plenty of other parts of the GOP base, including evangelicals, have mostly fallen in line. the fact is many conservatives - including you, i assume - base their political leanings on trite notions of being tough, or masculine. It'd be offensive if it wasn't so plodding. Pick on gay people, minorities, women -- that's fair game. Plus all those social media pages are nowadays ran by teenagers who really doesn't no s--- about what's going on in world. They don't even know how many Senates we have. Your assumption that conservatives base their beliefs on masculinity is hysterical. No one is picking on gays, minorities or women. I do see people burning American flags, assaulting women, and vandalizing property, but you don't seem to care about that because you disagree with them politically. What a humanitarian you are.

And yeah -- trump has flat out catered to groups hostile to progressive causes. Politics are cultural, so i find it ironic the same people who incessantly boast about how tough they are all the time IMMEDIATELY recoil when someone wants to toss their aggression back at them for once. lol @ "denouncing" -- they're shielding themselves politically, inoculating themselves so he doesn't hurt them down ballot. I don't envy Ryan's position but you can't quite say he's denouncing trump. He's endorsed him, and is cherrypicking times when he speaks out against specific statements.

Jun 29, 2016 There are conservatives who don't support gay marriage, abortion and don't believe wage inequality is an issue. They have issues with the laws and regulations of our government. They aren't assaulting and killing people in the name of it and if they were, it would be just as wrong as Trump protesters are. The people at these rallies are violent and looking for blood in the name of a political disagreement while liberals stand by saying "well that's what they get". The hypocrisy is overwhelming.
