Oct 9, 2015 I could never hate my parents. Sometimes as much as i dislike some of the choices they make I still realize without them I wouldnt be here. So for that I am grateful
Oct 9, 2015 I absolutely hated my mom as a teenager. Literally walked in on her cheating on my dad when I was like 10 which led to their divorce. Always blamed her for breaking up our family but now that I'm an adult I see things differently. After the split I lived with my dad on the weekends. Everytime I came over he would leave me home alone and go to his new girlfriends house for the whole weekend. I thought it was cool as a teen cuz it left me free to party and stuff. But now looking back as an adult that was pretty f----- up. Nowadays my dad lives an hour away from me and I only see him like three times a year on holidays. My kids don't know who he is. Whereas my mom is a very active mother and grandmother in me and my kids lives. I no longer blame her for the breakup. Now that I see my dad adult to adult I realize he's pretty much a jerk. Probably explains why he's now 60 and single. Whereas my mom is still married to the guy I walked in on her with back in 95.
Oct 9, 2015 Pretty much have a typical father/son relationship with my father but I don't think I'll ever speak to my mom again. Haven't seen her in almost 8 months now
Oct 9, 2015 She's left multiple times now, the first time she left when it was just me and my sister when I was 4 and she was 2, gone for 9 months then came back. Was going to leave a few years ago with one of her friends until her friend got locked up that day. Back in May she left again. Now it's just me and my Dad trying to take care of my 3 younger siblings, one of them only being a year and half old.
Oct 9, 2015 My mom died when I was 1, lol. My dad was a real bad parent... (He fought to keep me, but he didn't know how how to be a parent at all), I didn't talk to him between 17 and 22... Now we are good friends and he is a better parent to my half brothers and his new wife's grandkid.
Oct 9, 2015 my moms has done some unforgivable stuff but I've never held it her against her, especially since she's gotten better. my dad's not perfect but he tries his best to give the world to me and my siblings.

Oct 9, 2015 Sorry to hear that bud. I give you and your dad alot of credit. I hate how some people think only fathers are deadbeats. Woman can be just as bad if not worse.
Oct 9, 2015 my mom just has a history of being manipulative. just an example, she tried to get my older sister (half sister) to lie in court and say my dad was "touching her" to get custody of me and my full sister. luckily my sister didn't.
