I'm still kinda young so not right now but I'm definitely up for it in the future tho. I'd have to make sure I have a good income flow first tho. as for how many I have no idea. anything less than 5 I guess.

I don't have any because I'm studying at university rn and am way too young for that. Definitely want children in the future tho. 2 kids, ideally 1 son and 1 daughter, patchwork family style. Might even adopt one. But that can wait haha

Ehhh. I don’t particularly like children. If I ever have any, I just hope I’m not one of those parents that posts millions of photos of their kids all over social media. Jesus Tapdancing Christ.

I’m on the fence personally...I come from a very dysfunctional family...didn’t have greatest childhood...has made me be negative towards family....but part of me would like to experience it, the other part doesn’t ...it’s tricky...def a full time job, if you are going do well...the more you put into it, hoping the child turns out great in your eyes...lots of sacrifice as a parent...if you lead a busy life and don’t put in the work and attention, lots of issues can arise even if you do it can still arise lol...it’s great when your kids are babies(besides crying and having to adjust your life) but when they get older and have their own influences and experiences and thoughts hopefully you can be proud or teach them or even be friends with them....

A parent should love their child regardless of how they turn out...but lots of times that doesn’t happen....unconditional love, teaching from mistakes and being friends are important...nothing is guaranteed and you have no control over certain things may play out...the circle of life continues...I think you and your partner need to be in a positive situation so hopefully a positive outcome happens...,lots of people out there should not be parents unfortunately....they make their situation worse and the child’s too...

one and done, I dont understand people that would want more than a few. People who want like 5 kids are mentally unstable

I think adoption should be considered more often but apparently there are so many obstacles that many don't even try it

I mean obviously surprises can happen, and of course I'd take care of my kid if it did. But that's not really the point, and I take proper precautions to help ensure that doesn't happen lol because at this moment in time I absolutely do not want kids.

It doesn't have anything to do with how I would raise my hypothetical kids, it's just that I'm not sure I'd want to bring more human beings to life on a planet that's being systematically pillaged, polluted, and destroyed in a country with frequent mass shootings at schools (and churches and malls and wall marts and concert venues and clubs and). That's my own personal prerogative just as it is yours to have kids. But I don't know what the future holds, I might want them down the line and that stuff might not matter if I find the right person and we both wanna start a family. Like I said it's my own personal quandaries and anxieties to deal with.

Sometimes you don't have a say in that decision. The world is much better looking at it through your child's eyes.

My oldest was planned but the youngest wasn't. But yeah, I hate this world sometimes but that would never influence me on how I raise my kids.

as for not doing things yet, I took my son everywhere. he's been to more concerts than any 6 year old i know. I took him to see childish gambino, jay electronica and stalley.

Sure there might be some things you don't accomplish solo, but i've done the same things I would do with or without my son and i'll treat my daughter the same way.

I'm actually jealous of my son actually for getting to meet one of my favorite rappers at such a young age lol.

I have a one year old daughter. Recently we had a suspicion that my wife is pregnant again and I must admit it was scary. Turned out to be a false alarm. Our little monkey just started to sleep more or less good, so if i imagine having again those sleepless nights... no... its too early. Now we are checking decent birth control methods. I am not saying i don't want to have kids anymore, it is just a bit too early. And yep, the moment when you hear your baby's first cry is the best and the most emotional thing you can ever imagine, still remember every moment of that special day..

This was because of the extreme childhood death rates. The average births per women had to be something like 6-8 for the population to grow. This is why there was massive cultural pressure for women to constantly produce babies. Women pretty much spend their entire reproductive years pregnant or nursing an infant. Us men really have it easy.

I would've been happy with none. But I was happy with one. Even happier with 2 so he has done companionship at home. But no way so I want any more!! I'm planning holidays/vacations in 15 years time when we can leave them home alone!

It's not selfish, it's your life and you should live it how you want to—just as people who want to raise a family should live it how they want to. It's only selfish if you have a kid and are absent from their lives.

I will say that as I ease into my 30s, the idea of having kids has become more appealing to me. Being 30 and seeing friends with kids and being like "wow that looks so wholesome and fulfilling and happy" rather than when I was 18 seeing kids from my HS with kids already and being like "d--- I'm glad that's not me" lol
