    For future reference, a gun holster is usually a safer way to carry a pistol than in your clothes. It also protects the trigger which decreases your chances of negligent discharge.

    I really love Venison (deer meat) so imma be hunting till the day I die and will most def pass it down to my children one day. but yeah theres honestly never a reason to own a AR-15 or AK or anything like that. If you want self defense, go get a pistol, if you want to defend your home, have a shotgun, and if you just wanna hunt then go get a rifle like a 30-06

    I think being armed is a responsibility at this point. In defense of self as well as marginalized peoples. I do own a gun though I don't keep it in my home.

    So at what point will the reactionary current in this country prompt you to buy one?

    Dunno. I’d like to move away from everyone in this country thinking they need to own a gun, but I’m also not delusional enough to think that’s gonna happen in my lifetime. It’s too engrained in our country’s culture/values. So on one hand I don’t wanna add to what I view to be a problem (even if I was to be a responsible gun owner), but on the other, I also understand why someone would feel the need to own one in a climate such as this.

    I also live in libfuck, USA so I’m in a bubble. The only people I know who own a gun are my grandfather who lives in rural Oregon and a childhood friend who wants to join the SPD.

    I've done an about face on gun control to be honest. You're not going to peacefully get the guns out of the hands of these people. At best you're addressing the repercussions of a mental health issue in a really callous, roundabout way. So sure, regulate them as stringently as driver's licenses, but letting the state monopolize force would be a terrible decision when we've watched every institution prostrate itself before creeping fascism.
