Jan 5, 2016 maybe you don't like it, but tpab is one of the best albums of the decade, in any genre, and it is being praised for that. I have a hard time seeing him topping this album. I'm gonna be honest, I already consider his next album to be worse than TPAB because I don't see how someone could top his best album, specially when its praised as one of the all time greats.
Jan 5, 2016 Ya I know a lot of people love it, and a lot of people are like me too. Imo GKMC is his best, and is a classic. I hope he takes a different direction on his next project than he did on TPAB so it attracts a larger audience.
Jan 5, 2016 This is not happening. You could say that TPAB is a contender for GOAT album and it wouldn't be an outrageous opinion. It may not be for everyone, but in this hiphop/jazz/funk fusion there's no doubt that kendrick did everything right, the album is brilliant.
Jan 5, 2016 Tpab & gkmc are for different audiences.. however, it doesn't mean they're on the same level. Tpab excels in this fusion of jazz/hiphop/funk more than gkmc does in hip hop. And if you ask me, I want kendrick to stay in this lane, gkmc is definitely for a larger audience but it's also not as good as tpab,
Jan 5, 2016 well, when you take everything into account there's no doubt that they're both classics, tpab probably more so than gkmc when you look at the impact, praise and all that s--- but imo tpab s----s on gkmc. And attracting a larger audience = dumbing it down
