Mar 19, 2018 Your point on flow is just false its just completely incorrect and as your points on lyricism and rhyming are correct im guessing you know this already so i wont go on about this. Biggie was a very good rapper the technicalities your disscussing some of them held him back for sure however music is art. Art is the evolution of language its the way in which we express ourselves the most effectively if done well. Biggie managed to express himself through his music in every way weather it was beat selection, rhyme schemes, flow, lyrics. This is more important than a lot of the technicalities as that is what people connect to that is what translates on stage and thats what stands the test of time. Im not saying these technicalities arnt important but trying to decide weather or not someone was a great rapper or not cannot be done just on their technical ability this isnt maths. the artist that manage to reveal their true self through music the essence of their being are the ones we call legends and that is the reality of it and in truth is the most difficult skill to master.
