Mar 7, 2017 >10/10 flawless perfect game >have option for 1080p >its actually 900p found a flaw already! If you run it on PC in 4k, then i'd say it'd be pretty close to flawless. i was about to say the same. but yeah what you said above is pretty much what I said... like, it's mostly 10s... do you really think that BotW is a flawless masterpiece and it's fair to rate it that, when it's been out for a total of 5 days? the "0/10 trolls" aren't much different to the "10/10 perfect game will play for years to come" reviews imho. like, the games been out for 5 days and you know you're going to play it for years to come? you know the parts fo the game you haven't even experienced are flawless and perfect? it's no different. the scores average out. yes that is a troll review, likely from someone who hasn't played the game. this is a 10/10 game because it wants your money so bad! it's a 10/10 because its long, even though longer games exist and most are reporting this as a 30hr game. I mean, there's countless 10/10 reviews that also say "only complaint that there is fps drop!" well if you have a complaint then how the f--- is it perfect flawless 10/10? lol. take that 10/10 and shove it up your own a---?
Mar 7, 2017 1) world is absolutely filled, more than any game I've played maybe he doesn't like collecting/exploring? 2) he did not enter a single dungeon because they are by far the most unique ones yet and just getting into them requires that he played the game enough to defeat certain foes 3) if he got to the dungeons, he would have been hit with lots of story elements... not to mention the huge story revealing memories you can find (optional) 4)the music was changed to more atmospheric, ambient sound, which is amazing btw but the music that does play, still has that iconic tune and you hear it a lot, so it does the classic "stuck in your head" thing that Zelda music is known for. literally same classic sounds in this game just remade. (great fairy fountains, song of storms, etc its all here) 5) combat is the best yet for a Zelda title, just because he doesn't appreciate that the game is built around the item degrade system doesn't mean it doesn't work flawlessy. you aren't constantly searching for weapons (only at the beginning when you have literally nothing) and I actually spend more time trying to decide what to keep and what to ditch. I bought a house just to store strong a--- weapons ive found to save for a boss. I've also expanded my inventory to hold more weapons. The system literally makes the game. You can use everything and it's varied and great. Different weapons do different things 6) graphics are beautiful, fps is not an issue for me personally, very rarely studders, no different from any other game I've ever played. 900p resolution might be an issue if your that kinda guy I guess. The graphics/fps hasn't interfered with my enjoyment or excitement of the game whatsoever so why would I lower the score because of it? if you played the game you'd see its not as bad as some make it sound and it only happens under very specific conditions which is surprising for how fast load times are and how big the world is with so many wild factors like wind, lightning, grass, animals, etc Game looks stunning sorry
Mar 7, 2017 No i'm waiting for the Cemu team to emulate it. i'm not playing this in less than 30fps and less than 1080p lol.
Mar 7, 2017 final is right, if the fps issues are very minor (bear in mind the metascore given is for the Switch version and not the wii u) then it wouldn't be a reason to lower the score. Although i play osu alot, so framedrops and low fps is something i'm painfully aware of. I'll wait until it gets sold for less later on, and more games are on it though. Did lookup the cutscenes/story elements though, and it's pretty good.
Mar 7, 2017 Seriously it's a port of a WiiU game that had only 6 months of optimization and it came out this smooth? Get real and play the game and stop listening to the internet Coco. After the massive slap in the faces that were FFXV and MGSV it's sooooo f---ing satisfying to get a game that ACTUALLY deserves the praise and scores its getting. They did not drop the ball on this game. f---ing 10/10
Mar 7, 2017 lol what? I feel like you're responding to that guys 0/10 review. I just agreed that his review was a troll one. As for the bolded part, i dunno, because you're being critical and objective, instead of giving your personal opinion? From what i've seen of the game, i'm excited to play it, though i've seen enough to know it's not some flawless masterpiece. While watching streams, the big thing I was asking myself was "what makes this different to any other open world game, apart from the IP?" and there are quite a few differences, but all those things feel very minute. The inventory management/item durability/crafting aspect being the most unique thing about it. There also seems to be a heap of praise for enemy AI, cause they do things like pick up objects and throw them at you, but imo the AI is pretty dumb, apart from those minor reactions to the environment/objects. I've seen like almost 0 story, that's due to the streams i watched, being side quests/dungeons/exploring only, but strong feeling the story is dogshit. honestly though, cannot wait to play this 100% free, in 4k, with better post-processing effects on PC, while using a PS4 controller. Nintendo can s--- my nutz lol
Mar 7, 2017 Yea I thought "Whats so special" about it too and then actually played the game instead of staring at other people doing it and decided it is special. The "years to come" part is so true. This game oozes Zelda magic. The characters are remember able and I don't know if you are serious about the story or not, but the story revolves around 100 years ago and what went on during that time and it's deeper than any Zelda yet. How can you criticize a game you haven't played and admittedly know nothing about other than "items break"? I'm sure all Zelda games would look boring if all I did was watch other people play them. I think about if someone fresh to the Zelda series played this game and what there thoughts would be... and they would rank it 10/10. It's really that simple. There's too much interaction and attention to small details for a game of this size to just ignore it. The art style just makes it all timeless just like Windwaker
Mar 7, 2017 I've been on this bridge, I've seen this guy and this is something I didn't experience because I didn't stand on the ledge The game is absolutely filled with small details like this that give the game that extra magic and immersion... If you aren't into games like that.. You think "big deal a random piece of dialog" then yea I don't expect you to like the game as much as others. The dialog and characters in this game have that special flare and there's a feeling of soul and calmness.. That Zelda magic
Mar 7, 2017 why would i spend around $600 for a single f---ing game, that runs better and for free on a PC? Give me a decent answer to that question, before you start saying "just buy lol" Like i'm reading everything you're saying and while i'd agree, everyone's lost in hype. I'm not seeing anything new. The witcher 3's scripting, world, environment, textures, models everything are objectively far more detailed than anything i've seen in BotW. like that's nice an NPC told you not to jump when you were about to jump... Like really? you're trying to show this off as something? This happens every 5-10 minutes in Witcher 3 for even more random scenarios or events. Witcher 3 has a quest where you're tasked to help a mysterious man. Now it doesn't tell you anywhere in the game at all, but this mysterious man will appear somewhere in every cutscene following you, making sure you fulfill his wishes. You can walk past a beggar whoa asks for money, you do the right thing and give him some. some time later the same beggar is seen begging in different regions, you can choose to confront him. During dialogue early in the game, you are asked if you killed the boss of the previous game (the ending gave you the option to k--- or let live) your choice in this dialogue will determine whether or not a sidequest will trigger later on in game. if you do not choose to assassinate the King with the help of others and instead let him live, an entire town executes all of the wizards. its so detailed that herbalist shops, book shops, anything "magic" related is wiped from the town. As well as this, when you beat the main questline, the King will win the war and not Nilfgaard, meaning Nilfgaard's forces for the most part are driven back from the land (it's so detailed they have multiple currencies and exchanging the nilfguard currency will give you less gold than it would have if Nilfgaard still occupied) (these are all minute examples, these types of things are happening all the time in-game. btw, you can use physics in-game too. break some walls, set fire to explosives and k--- mobs, push explosives after igniting them etc.) just compare the game sizes. Witcher 3 50-60gb and BotW 13.5 gb. There's an extra 40 gigabytes dedicated to detail and it's not just for graphics. but yes one piece of dialogue on a bridge is very detailed. thanks for sharing.
Mar 7, 2017 uhh no? https://ebgames.com.au/nintendo-switch-202879-Nintendo-Switch-Grey-Console-Switch $470 then i have to buy the $100 game too. (or fucken, 89.95 dollar game, bringing my total to about $559.95 or simplified to around $600 in aussie terms) though i'm pretty sure the console (even taking into account exchange rates) is more expensive than the rest of the world.
Mar 7, 2017 Well, in the US anyways, but it gets ever more expensive for me because of the inflating rates
Mar 7, 2017 lol let me give you a bit of perspective on my situation... my options are literally 1) buy Switch and BotW 2) buy 3 ounces of weed and get BotW for free on PC 2 weeks - 1 month later. What would you honestly choose?
