It's hypocritical for the government to deny access to anyone other than criminals and terrorists. Also black-on-black is more a case of poor-on-poor black people are just the majority of the under class if we focus on bettering our worst off citizens then the root problems of crime (lack of food, education, shelter, etc.) will fade away as well.

Mar 26, 2016 The government artificially limits how many immigrants may come into the country forcing people looking for jobs to circumvent the government. It's a problem they've made for themselves and could easily be dealt with if politicians like Trump weren't race-baiting divas. Government refuses to raise minimum wage to meet the cost of living ratios enjoyed in the 60s (my professor was able to pay for whole semesters with money from a summer job at jack in the box. He went to UT.) Government also refuses to make college more accessible thereby limiting poor people's ability to get into college and get skills to get living wage employment. In these situations crime isn't excusable but definitely understandable. We've forced black people into poverty and then set restrictions to limit ANY poor people from bettering their socioeconomic state. As it stands there's no way for the poor man to win especially with entitled middle class inhabitants demonizing human beings for "taking handouts" ie being given enough money in addition to minimum wage in order to not starve to death or be exposed to the elements.

Please explain how federal government is responsible for state colleges and how they refuse to make it more accessible? What college or community college is denying entry to poor people? Please, please explain how the government has set restrictions that limit any poor people from bettering their socioeconomic state. How is it that people come from nothing and build businesses, work for unions and set themselves up for life, living the American Dream. Large portions of newly admitted college students each year are first in their families to go to college. Explain how "ANY" poor people are limited from doing more for themselves. I'm all ears. There's nothing biased about saying minimum wage doesn't support citizens like it used to. Yes but clearly the supply isn't meeting the demand. Some economists have theorized that the new illegal working class has helped the American economy because companies can have cheap labor domestically and their white collar office and desk jobs therefore stay in america giving legal citizens more employment opprtunities. We're only hurting ourselves by throttling the process the way we do. Point me to where I said government specifically at the federal level otherwise quit putting words in my mouth. Even at the cheap community college I go too in an area with a good economy expecting unskilled workers to fork over more than a month's pay per class is ridiculous. We've given college a cost barrier that you almost certainly can't cross without the kinds of jobs young adults don't get hired for. Because some people get more opportunities than others and are able to capitalize on it what kind of dumbass question is that. Because you need money to advance yourself money that isn't provided by minimum wage jobs.

Regardless of it being state or federal government, please explain how each state is denying poor people from getting into college? Ever heard of financial aid, affirmative action, or grants? Many schools are increasing the amount of financial aid they offer every year along with admission of first generation college students. Did you care to know that or are you just complaining and asking for more because your professor told you too? You said verbatim, the government blocks ANY poor person from improving their socioeconomic state. That is complete bs. You're a pessimist and you offer no solutions. Funny you talk about probably never working a day in your life because with major grants once you've put enough hours into a job (any job particularly minimum wage ones college students would be employed at) you become automatically denied. There is literally a rule set in place where if you work enough and happen to also be poor enough, you're denied access to these grants. Again, b, you clearly are more interested in making yourself seem intelligent than debating because I already mentioned the professor anecdote was from a math professor who I've never talked to personally.
