Jun 1, 2017 And I'm not... lol it's just bad for the environment but like I said I'd never try and convert someone or anything there are a slew of perfectly good reasons to eat red meat but no there are plenty of ways to get all of your neccsary nutrition in a vegan diet you just have to not b a s--- c---- that only eats skittles and Oreos and ciggies
Jun 1, 2017 Lol u are so miserable and grumpy idk why you quote me every time you do you get so emotional
Jun 1, 2017 I'm not arguing it's the right move lol. I'd be more concerned about f---ing the world up than missing out on a burgeoning market. If fiscal responsibility is the issue, look at the pointless wall this administration is still lobbying for or all of the money pouring into defense. It's incompetency on all fronts.
Jun 1, 2017 gets told to f--- off "lol why are you so miserable and grumpy man?" just f--- off, you f---ing s--- c----
Jun 1, 2017 I'm just saying, even though the agreement may have not been legally binding as far as expectations go, there were still benefits to staying in it. Not only that but just based on pure principle. The Paris Climate Agreement is a first of its kind where the entire world came together and agreed to combat climate change. The U.S. pulling out could lead to other countries deciding to pull out as well.
Jun 1, 2017 I have the option and i'm aware of it, but I prefer meat. it's easier. I get what you are saying, but there isn't an absolute for dieting. Like yeah beans and potatoes are cheap, but who the f--- wants to live of potato and bean fueled meals? A lot of vegetarian/vegans fail to realize there are links between mood and diet. Simply eating foods that look appealing, or foods you like, can boost endorphin's/reward chemicals in the brain. Some people just don't want to restrict their diet/live by rules. Soft drinks are filled with sugar, sugar can scientifically be listed as a drug/toxin due to the effects it has on the human body - but If I want a coke, i'm drinking a f---ing coke. Not to mention it's a complete overhaul of your lifestyle, if people have to drop their current routine that is already working for them, for something more complicated, they wont do it. Also most plant based foods are in the range of 90% water, meaning they are broken down and digested really quickly in your body emptying your stomach faster leaving you hungry again not long after. So i'm completely aware, but i'm not changing my diet because I like the taste and it's just more efficient for my day-to-day life if i spend a total of 45 mins eating 4 meals, as opposed to 4-5 hours eating every 10 f---ing minutes because nothing is filling me up.
Jun 1, 2017 i highly suggest watching Leonardo Dicaprios "Before the Flood" changed my whole outlook on the environment and what needs to be done
Jun 1, 2017 You're talking about a country in which the controlling party (presidency, house, senate) still disputes whether or not human activities play a role in climate change at all. Trump probably believes this will help the economy (again, super incompetent), his base long ago bought into the conservative narrative about deregulation being helpful to anybody instead of just giant corporations, and oil lobbyists see it as a threat to their profits going forward. This isn't a question of weighing the bad and the good or the smart and the dumb. The United States is a corporatist nightmare. Just look up details about the gold mine in Alaska that the Obama administration was blocking. Scott Pruitt, a climate denier who has worked previously for the fossil fuel industry, is the head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which is going to let it happen despite it being a disaster for the watershed that sustains the fishing economy of the entire region. The EPA is about to get its budget cut by a third. Nobody should be surprised by Trump's actions regarding the Paris Climate Accord. It was predictable.
Jun 1, 2017 Food possibilities are endless on any diet, including a vegan one, and with all the new things they're doing with plant based meat substitutes and what not, which fill you up in the same way, it's going to become more and more common for people to inherit the lifestyle. When I say people will choose to do it, I obviously don't mean every single person; I was moreso referring to self proclaimed environmentalists and what not who want to make a change but simply aren't aware of some of these things that affect the environment. I'm by no means a militant vegan or anything, h--- I can count on one hand how many vegans I actually hang out with or get along with, everyone is free to do as they please as far as I'm concerned. Speaking for myself tho, I thought much like you in the past but as I grew older and started learning more about it all, it was just a no brainer for me to make the transition, I do agree that at first it takes a lot of your time and mental energy trying to figure out a new way to eat, but I would argue that it can actually improve your mood and energy rather than the other way around. I eat regular amount of meals and just snack on fruits and nuts in between usually and I'm never feeling hungry or tired, it's really all about finding a balance that's right for you. Btw, I'm not saying all of this to try to convince you in any way, just putting my thoughts on the topic out there.
Jun 1, 2017 I understand all of this lol. I'm not saying I'm surprised or didn't expect this, I'm addressing your point that the agreement was "powerless" and "all for show." Even though the agreement was not legally binding, there were still benefits to staying in the agreement and are potential consequences for pulling out.
Jun 1, 2017 Well if you understand what I said, you must realize that the people behind the decision do not agree with your assessment of "benefits" and "consequences". I also think they're wrong, but surely you can see what compels them, right?
Jun 1, 2017 Yes of course. i know the GOP has benefited from money flowing in from big oil companies for years. Same s--- with the NRA and why we can't get any gun control legislation through. I just don't think Trump's withdrawal from this agreement should be viewed as nothing because the agreement was never ratified by congress. It does come with consequences.
Jun 2, 2017 this doesnt make up for him being in denial of a whole branch of science....... you cant "believe' in one science and not another, might as well start saying gravity is a hoax
