Not sure if you questioned people's excitement because of the fact that this could be delayed like a lot of his stuff has or because we should give him the cold shoulder since he let his fans down so many times although this is officially releasing.
Jul 29, 2015 I'm more or less speaking on my own feelings of dissapointment with dre than I am anyone elses. I can see that ppl are excited and they should be, it's been years since he's released anything music related. I PERSONALLY have lost interest in Dre over the years to the point that I don't care if the music is good or not. If it's good, great. If it's not, we'll then that's great too. It doesn't matter to me anymore, it won't effect me either way

Jul 29, 2015 After reading your PM I realized I had you confused with somebody else with a similar name from SL that I had problems with so that's why I was a d-ck. My bad. With that said I still disagree with your thinking. I'm a HUGE Dre fan. I love everything everything the man has put out. Whether it's his albums or just the songs he's produced in between the guy can do no wrong in my eyes. He's my all-time favorite producer. However, when the guy has promised an album release and backed out of it nearly a dozen times over the last 15 years of course it's going to piss me off. At first it was understandable but it eventually became infuriating. I feel like I can be a fan of the guy's music but at the same time still despise his indecisiveness. I'd hardly call that being a "fickle" fan so I mean even though I apologize for being a d-ck I still completely disagree with your line of thinking unless I'm misunderstanding your argument.
Jul 29, 2015 First and foremost, I appreciate your apology and I accept. I'm not upset with anyone who is excited for this release. Dr Dre and Eminem are the reason I fell in love with hip hop and I love most of what they've done through out their careers. Like I've said before I personally feel that I've been let down for far too long to be all that excited about it anymore. I have no doubt that the music will be released this time but the magic just feels dead to me. I'm not knocking anyone for being fans of the guy, he's legendary. He's definitely one of my favorite producers of all time. I used to make excuses for eminem for years, I defended him endlessly to my friends etc and it just occurred to me one day that I wasn't going to waste my time vouching for an artist that couldn't deliver. I also agree with you that you can hate his indecisiveness and still be a fan. Im still a fan of his deep down, I just outgrew him I guess

Jul 29, 2015 I legitimately think Dre got scared to release Detox after putting it off so long since the rap industry changed so much because he didn't think his g-funk style would fit in with what became popular in modern hip hop. Now that he can tie it to an NWA film, he can release classic west side style production without worrying about whether or not it fits in with the new mainstream sounds and is probably much more comfortable.
