    I just got a text from an old friend that said Dre picked a release date for his project this year. So with that in mind it's probably safe to plan that we aren't seeing anything until 2023:lmaooo:

    Wow just listened to that Made in LA commercial for the first time with headphones and that beat is crazy! It is mind boggling that some of these beats are only being used as background music for ads. Takes me back to the Chrysler commercial over a decade ago.

    I stand by saying any Dre album that would’ve dropped this week would be #1 on the charts and probably a lot of radio/streaming success. Really a shame it’s been silent since the Super Bowl.

    These interviews are interesting — Dre’s been so on message with regards to the performance. He must be very pleased with the critical response.

    This begs the question — if his album has supposedly been done for months, why wasn’t it released last night? Regardless of what he does going forward, his buzz will never be bigger than it was this week.

    Seems like a missed opportunity.

    Agreed 100. But as a whole, these tracks feel "better" than Compton as a whole. But I think that's just because we've got 2 solo Dre songs, minus the hook and songs with more than one Dre verse on most tracks. Compton, as much as I loved it, just didn't feel like Dre was the main character compared to this.

    The Contract EP is already 5x cooler than Compton... If that's an indicator of how his album will sound, it's definitely going to be a classic!
