Dre realised life is too short to stress about people liking or not liking his music. His wife leavin and suing him and his brain aneurysm made him wanna get his s--- together and just give us a b-----r.... 2021 is already lookin betterJ630, Ordinary Joel, Guma and 1 other person like this. -

It's true that Dre had been removing himself from the credits for some time, he worked on Kush for an example. DJ Khalil once said that the beat was originally a little different and slower when he made it. And then Dre obviously mixed it too.
But stop overrating him that much. Dawaun Parker for an example is a dope producer on his own (I just heard Love Thy Family by Busta Rhymes, it resembles a Dre-beat)
and Jake One did do "The Recipe".
Plus the beat in 50's President Freestyle doesn't sound that different than the one in Get It. The only difference you can hear is that they changed the snare sound.
Dre can bring the best out of people, but most of the time he wasn't even really involved in actually composing the music. He didn't come up with the melodies for The Real Slim Shady, Still Dre or Ain't No Fun. He only added some elements.
And that's not necessarily bad, it's just how he approached his beats. He got behind the drum machine and then the musicians played to his tracks and he combined the best ideas.
What I'm trying to say is, most of his beats were all group efforts.Last edited: Nov 24, 2020asvdawg, CSA, Ordinary Joel and 1 other person like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

I get "One Shot One k---"-vibes from this instrumental. Though the drums on this one have a lot more smack to them. This is what I miss about Dre's music, his beats don't smack the way that they used to :/Ordinary Joel, relapse 2, WestSideboi and 1 other person like this. -

do you remember the when they had limited edition detox dre beats? Dre should have those remade with the modern style. But instead of limited out them everywhere . Your wal marts, targets etc. have a commercial where dre hands them to em or Kendrick and a finished version of “hey young world” plays. Have the headphones and album come out the same day. Then have eminem and Kendrick drop albums after.
Why NOT put detox out? Dre put out Compton and people loved it. He’s got the music laying around. Dre, em & kendrick could easily run 2021.hargydon, Reed Richards, Ordinary Joel and 1 other person like this. -

Let's not forget that Fredwreck is a dope producer too. He did "What can we do" on Paaks album and "Framed" for an example.

Stat Quo posted pictures of several artists in his ig story and wrote "he's / she's coming" on every one of them. Dre is one of the artists:
