Jul 20, 2017 I just don't understand what would have perturbed him from and beleaguered him into the opposing stance he eventually withheld where/when he felt it was too much of a lost cause to drop it out of nowhere? Instead of making "Detox" the soundtrack for "Straight Out Of Compton", he drops a different set of songs for that. *Sighs* "Detox" could have at least topped his last album ("2001"). What did he have to lose?
Jul 20, 2017 But "Compton" isn't perfection. Neither is "Relapse" and his production is all over that. *Sigh* Makes no sense to me. Someone was in his ear telling him that it was a lost cause. It's not logical.
Jul 20, 2017 i can see why tho this dont have replay value but this is probably from many versions of detox
Jul 20, 2017 True. I think he was forcing himself to finish "Detox" for so many years he got tired with it and then "Straight Outta Compton" happened, Dr. Dre felt inspired because of it and made "Compton" which seems to be better for him than "Detox" ever was. Idk, it's just Dr. Dre, you can't figure him out.
Jul 20, 2017 theres got to be at least 100 tracks that were suppose to be for Detox, considering how many people said they worked on it on a 10yr + span
Jul 20, 2017 true you would think 500 but considering its Dr.Dre and actually finished song might be a lot less... but I'm sure you are right with demos, verses, scraps etc... I guess we will never know
Jul 20, 2017 I guess you're right, who knows how much material was made. Dr. Dre said he's recording every single day
Jul 20, 2017 They make him sound like a perfectionist...so I'm not sure how fast he is to finish a song compared to other producers though there has been so many artists that have said they worked on Detox....Game, 50 Cent, Eminem, Snoop, Nas, TI, all the aftermath artist's etc...
Jul 20, 2017 This is the greatest rap song that never saw the light of day. Hopefully, we'll get it some day.
Jul 20, 2017 I love the end when the guy says "you got a time bomb or something" you know everyone thinks it's just too dope too handle. Dre honestly must be clueless. A song like this would probably be liked by about 99% of the hip hop community and probably by most casual music listeners. It baffles me honestly.
