Dec 30, 2019 right. I f--- with both of their catalogues. besides sound I just also edge Kanye over dre bc of Kanye actually playing a lot of the keys and midi stuff. I said it in the EM forum the other night, Kanye produces the way Eminem writes. but Kanye and dre are in the same category to me bc they work with writers but are known for production mostly (granted Kanye writes more than dre does and has a way deeper catalogue than dre in terms of solo albums)
Dec 30, 2019 Both are top 3/5 almost everyone agrees here. Neither 'deserves' the win over the other imo because neither deserves to loose or the disrespect they get itt
Dec 30, 2019 Dre ez His impact on music will always be untouched. He changed the west coast sound two f---in decades in a row and his beats are always on another level on every album he’s in. Kanye is a great producer but that’s it.
Dec 30, 2019 1. DRE 2. DJ Premier 3. RZA 4. Scott Storch 5. Daringer 6. Alchemist 7. DJ Muggs 8. Pete Rock 9. Just Blaze 10. Timbaland Ye not even in the conversation to me
Dec 30, 2019 We are blessed w both of these guys people, just posted the first 4 I had in mind.. and the Scarface x Jay song (Guess Who's Back, Get By -Mos Def... amazing).
Dec 30, 2019 Both artists are perfectionist at making beats. This is really hard to choose and different styles. Dre has his own style and so doesn’t Kanye. Nobody has a cleaner sound then Dr. Dre in the mixing process even Em admits he doesn’t know all of Dre’s tricks to make it sound so good. Kanye is like very unique.
Dec 31, 2019 Both dre and kanye in their later years did not do 100% of the actual beat making but a lot of their talent comes with putting together a complete product, more of a producer in the traditional sense. That's something they've always been good at is putting a bunch of moving parts together.
Dec 31, 2019 yeah they're both amazing producers I don't know why people are tearing down either of them lol
Dec 31, 2019 I personally prefer Dre. He's had a bigger impact imo and also helped launch a bunch of careers. Nothing can touch what he did in the late 80s and 90s. h--- even in the 2000s. But Kanye is phenomenal as well and more versatile.
Dec 31, 2019 I forgot how much Dre was killin it even in the 2000s. Let's not forget "In Da Club" which really blew up 50 Cent's career.
