Now that he managed that he should train with Vegeta in the time chamber. 4 hrs left would still be months in there. Instead he is gonna think of a strategy tho since he is the team leader now. Aren't people like Piccolo more strategic anyway? Gohan is smart but when was he ever strategic?
May 15, 2017 yeah i think theres a bit of a difference in character portrayal. its like cell/buu saga showed that piccolo was s--- at fighting and completely outclassed, but was still calling goku out on his bs in the cell fight, for example. I think the series had more of a power creep with vegeta/gohan/goku/trunks+goten than what it was in manga/comics. Like it's weird, canonically, there is no way piccolo should be able to keep up with a super saiyan when you consider the frieza saga, but he's holding his own against like cell and now he's entering the universe tournament and then there is 0 kills 13 deaths krillin... lol. I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure in the comics the power levels were more equaled out to what we're shown in the android/cell/buu saga's and cause Super has toriyama or whatever his name is, working more closely on the series it's reflecting the comics more/its better cause there isn't 8 rag-tag characters that do literally nothing but watch people fight. straight up tho vegeta/picolo should have been made leader. Gohan's the youngest and least experienced fighter out of all of them lol, for sure he's like 3rd/4th strongest in the group, but krillin can probably offer up better suggestions than gohan lmao

May 16, 2017 People saying Gohan won't make a good leader are far from wrong. He's all smarts. He's not the same kid that stomped out cell. And vegeta would be the absolute worst pick. For one he's to hot headed.

May 17, 2017 everything regarding vegeta in Super shows that he's atleast collecting his thoughts and planning. Goku and Gohan lack both of these attributes. the only time he appeared hot headed was when he went at beerus after he smacked bulma. Goku is all for a tournament that will end countless lives, Gohan is taking it seriously, but he lacks any and every trait that would make a good leader. He's inexperienced across the board. yeah and imo that seemed like a "oh s--- how do we make this now redundant character stronger so fans arent mad he's not fighting anymore" when he fused with Nail, fair enough, strength boost. whatever. But doing it again with Kami always seemed odd to me. Why not just make him be in general stronger and only fuse once with kami? would have been better/more consistent imo.
May 17, 2017 because that wouldn't have made sense, Piccolo trained for years after losing to Goku and he wasn't even strong enough to beat Radditz. Fusing with Kami wasn't some "oh s---" move from Toriyama, it had been teased ever since Kami talked about how Piccolo and he once were the same person. I always thought the Nail fusion was cool too

May 17, 2017 nah i fully get that. to be more specific i think if they skipped the nails fusion him finally fusing with kami would have had a bigger impact. Like people would've reacted to it more. That being said i thought piccolo was the s--- when he fused with nails, then i thought he was the s--- again when he fused with kami
