Jun 13, 2016 I don't see trunks as a recycled idea. He was a fan favorite. And he didn't die. Of course they had to bring him back. He's a character that can do that because he's from the future and it works. Freeza on the other hand was recycled. But I understand why they did it. Dragon Ball z was canceled for nearly two decades they wanted that core fan base back.
Jun 13, 2016 There are a few episodes before and after the Battle of Gods and Resurrection F saga that are completely new and unrelated to the movies. There are also episodes within the sagas that go into more detail and have extended/altered scenes.

Jun 14, 2016 I think it's safe to assume a few things: -Future Chi Chi got killed & that earring is NOT hers (In HOT she didn't have any) -Goku Black is either a Goku on some mind control (probably by the green Kai), a Goku who was brought up to despise Saiyans & has been space, time & universe hopping to murder them all, a Goku who potora fused with some evil f--- & threw away the other earring or an entity using his image. -His base form would have trouble against Trunks if Trunks could keep healthy (desperation for food=exhaustion= can't go super Saiyan?). Trunks was able to deflect his blasts to he's not all THAT strong or Trunks got a huge boost himself. --Definitely NOT some Dr. Gero creation -Doesn't recognize Bulma, Mai or Trunks so definitely not a case of Goku just gone psycho -The Gods in Trunks's time are corrupted
