Dec 18, 2016 It definitely seemed like Whis knew about Hit, and he was trying to distract Vegeta so he wouldn't try to fight Hit. Also, wtf is up with Whis and Beerus calling Goku their main fighter for the tournament? At this point, kaio ken EXCLUDED, Vegeta is more powerful than Goku since he trained for that 6 months in the hyperbolic time chamber. Also, in the preview for the next episode it looked like Beerus was on Earth. Maybe Beerus kills him?
Dec 18, 2016 Beerus might have ordered the hit. But he deffinetly didn't k--- goku himself. The whole reason he didn't k--- goku in battle of God's was because he new how powerful goku could get. And he wanted him to get stronger so he could have a good competition to fight.
