Jul 26, 2015 Everyone talks about the track being a bore, but personally I feel like Drake wasn't trying to be flashy or loud. I feel like that's all part of it...He probably figured he would "crush" Meek by strictly spitting some factual bars. Didn't have to act a fool or handle it unprofessionally...just let the lyrics do the talking. Personally, I'm not the hugest Drake fan, but I feel like he definitely got the message across with the facts that he was spitting and they actually pertained to Meek in a subliminal manner. "Done doing favors for people / Cause it ain’t like I need the money I make off a feature" "No woman ever had me star struck / Or was able to tell me to get my bars up." I see you n----s having trouble going gold, turning into some so and sos that no one knows.” Even though Drakes flow wasn't necessarily "charged up" (which I think is the idea, like he didn't even need to waste energy to "crush" em), but I still think the message struck a cord with some real s--- for Meek...Plus, you gotta hand it to dude...Not even 48hrs after the social media blast from Meek, dude is already droppin a retort. I'm excited to hear/see if Meek will have a rebuttal track, how long will it take him to drop it, and how "dope" will that actually be...I just want to see if he'll come hard with actual and factual punch lines that mean something toward Drake.
