Jul 23, 2015 i'm from philly and i know people who know meek mill and they all say he doesn't write s--- so idk why he's giving drake such a hard time. maybe they like each other
Jul 23, 2015 Drake still makes better music. He should shout less on his music... Not sure why he even bothers with it. Drake is unbothered as s---.
Jul 23, 2015 I know plenty people who consider Drake 'p----/soft' and swear to Meek's 'street knowledge'. I appreciate both more or less tho..
Jul 23, 2015 if you're on a major label, you have a huge marketing budget. that's not the same as being a plant.
Jul 23, 2015 i don't care.. if people writing his reviews/articles are getting paid.. that's all i need to know.
Jul 23, 2015 I'm done going back and fourth with your insults tho chill. I know you're not fond of me. It's time to move on.
Jul 23, 2015 no critics are paid by labels to tip their hand one way or another. even at the less impressive outlets, the writers editorial staff takes their job too seriously to do something like that. i know for a fact that this isn't something that happens. (smaller rappers often try and sometimes succeed in paying for placement on aggregator-style blogs, but that's different.) the term "industry plant" refers to someone who is secretly signed to a major label, but is presented to the public as if they're not. ie, chance the rapper, post malone, etc.
Jul 23, 2015 This helps. Thanks! But i'm not convinced by an anecdote that the music industry doesn't know its way around music journalists and their editors.
