Hahahahahahahhahahaha f---ing guy had rocks in his hands ready to bash their windows in. :currydead:

Like I said nerds though, doesn't make Budden a tough guy, but it is funny af.

Not with Enigma on the fact that Drake shouldn't respond. I want a diss record from the boy. He can easily put together something on the B2B/Summer Sixteen level.

Oh no not big bad Crooked I.

Budden took the 1st shot, he went on a podcast and blasted Drake for an hour straight. Like I've said 50 times in this thread, even if he was justified in what he said, he can't be upset that Drake felt some type of way about it.

Drake took the first shot where? Lol Joe made his podcast criticizing Drake and "Views." A couple weeks later Drake came out with 4pm in Calabasas where Joe swears Drake was taking shots him. The only line that could be directed at Joe was the "even the OG's tryna press me ha ha ha" which isn't even a diss but ok lol. Joe took offense to that and went on his usual Twitter rant. Then the snippet for "no shoppin" came out and that's when Joe started mass releasing diss tracks lol

Having an opinion on a bad album isnt really a diss tho, he kept saying hes a fan and hat he sounded uninspired i dont see how thats a shot to him.

Could've just hit Drake up and spoke his peace, but he used his opinion as a way to promote himself, his podcast, and publicly put down someone he's clearly friends with, and 'loves' according to his last record.

I hope you're right, I want him to respond with a record. Joe is a great MC, no shame in losing to him but for the love of the game you have to reply.

All you self promoters are janky

We movin' militant but somehow you the one tankin'
No limit to where I can take it

All the sudden I got people showing how much they truly resent me
They whole demeanor just spells envy
    They tryna tempt me
The higher I get, the less they accept me
Even had the OG's tryna press me
    Ha-ha-ha-ha
No way out cause I'm already in it
I'm not attending when I do a show and get a ticket
Good business can clean millions, I got the vision

Certain s--- is just too wild to reconcile
Take that, take that no love in they heart so they fake that
DiCaprio level the way they play that, d--- n-----, what is that
Y'all hear no songs then hit my phone like you did that
And you even hit my line like where you been at
It's always on some s--- like when can I get a favor
Or where my b---- at, like I'm about to tell you where she been at
Costa Careyes, I got her kidnapped
She ain't sorry and I ain't sorry, it's too late for sorry

I got a lot to lose cause in every situation
I'm the bigger artist, always gotta play it smarter

    Yeah, redoin' the entrance
Kinda like when you n----s drop on some again and again s---
And you still never quite get it

These guys move so greasy nowadays

^^^^All could be seen as Budden shots imo.

    They are? Since when?

To me it seems he is mocking puff's style, esp. with the "take that, take that" "ha ha ha ha" things.

There are definitely some Budden shot in there also tho.

I think it's more paying homage to him & the sample. Not sure for how long they been cool but Puff previewed a bit of Drake's verse on No Shopping on his snapchat before the song dropped, whatever that counts for.

Those could be interpreted at anyone though. From Budden to diddy to meek.

But the timing of the song makes me believe most, if not all was directed at Budden. Maybe a few at Meek, like the "I thought we look out for one another" part.

Usually I agree with your posts, but you really don't know how important Joe is within the industry if you believe he has only these connects.

The guy was huge on the mixtape scene in the early 2000's. His connects are pretty big. Maybe not with modern rappers, but overall? Budden is a really respected dude in hip hop. He came up with Fabolous and the Clue tapes.

That's basically everything between Jersey and NY. He used to host a radio show on Hot 97 too.

When I think of Joey, I really don't think of him as Slaughterhouse or Eminem. That's not really his camp.

And as said in this thread, Drake is/was a HUGE Budden fan. What Joe says MATTERS to Drake, whether or not you guys think Joe is relevant or not. It's a big deal to him. Hence why he responded to Joe's critique of Views.

    The timeline is basically:

    Joe criticized Views.
French played the SNIPPET of Drake saying "Pump, Pump it up" with the caption "We ending careers"
Joe decided he was going to respond, because he didn't know if Drake was releasing a full fledge diss.
    Joe recorded his disses.

If anything, French showing off the snippet was the catalyst to the diss records being recorded.

This beef, from Joe's perspective, went A LOT like his beef with 50 Cent went. 50 and Joe were each other's competition on the NY mixtape scene in the early 2000's and didn't like each other. They both got signed in 2003 and were both looking to break it big. They were subliminally dissing, but Joey started recording a TON of disses to the entire G Unit, including Game at the time. He didn't sit and wait, he just went all out on them.

s---, I remember the Source or XXL article about it. The beef mainly involved Banks/Game vs Budden, but everyone viewed Joe as the under dog, even though he ended up winning.

Everyone thought Fab was gonna get involved too, but Joe told Fab not to.

I'm not denying what Joe's done. He put out some great music in the mid 2000's but he holds no weight in 2016 especially compared to an artist like drake with his stardom. Drake was a fan of Budden sure but I think it's his ego that's pushing him to take these jabs at Joe rather than him caring what Joe is saying. This reminds me of that short lived Canibus vs J Cole feud lol. Cole was a huge Canibus fan growing up & Canibus dissed him for no apparent reason (other than attention) and he got a lot of back lash for it and actually apologized for the diss lol. This time around its Drake and people resent him so no one really cares why Joe started dissing him, they're just glad he is lol. Let's keep in mind, Joe started mass releasing diss tracks a couple weeks after the snippet of "no shoppin" came out. He jumped the gun and assumed Drake was taking shots at him and to his credit he was right lol. I just think the whole thing is lame because Joe is clearly making it bigger than it really is. This started from comments Joe made about drakes album yet he's going on interviews talking about how Drake hurt him....*intense eye roll* he's been hyping this all up from the start and milking it all for what it's worth.
