Lol you know it man. A knockoff. But he does have his own twist and different sounds at times. But his flow completely copied Wayne’s and just tried changing his voice up a bit. One time I had a song with him featured playing and the person with me sAid is this a new Wayne verse and I was like naw, some dude named young thung. Big hip hop fans obviously know young thug but just casual fans who only listen to hip hop when certain albums are released from popular artists, a lot of them don’t know who thug is. He had a chance to blow up big like what 2 years ago? When he had a single That I think charted fairly high. But he couldn’t find his own sound and technique and just sounds stale anymore.

I said he sounds identical to wayne on some of his extremely early music that the vast majority of people haven't even listened to (have you listened to the I Came From Nothing tapes? Because that's the only place where the wayne criticism is applicable and he was still finding his voice on those. There's a reason he blew up after 1017 Thug and not those). My point was that if you still think that Thug's a wayne knockoff you clearly haven't spent much time with his music.

Also isn't there a street camera video that shows tekashi stood on the block for like ten seconds, recorded his snapchat or whatever, and then got back in the in the car and bounced? lol. Chief Keef hasn't even lived in chicago for years. Every rapper is a student of older rappers. It's not a criticism. If you think Tekashi isn't a student of DMX and s--- you're crazy.

He’s not a student. When I first heard gummo I was pumped and liked finally seeing something raw and aggressive for this generation of rappers. I got tired of the Kendrick, j Cole, politically correct rappers wave. 69 gives me the early 2000s late 90s vibe of hip hop. Some of his yelling gives me Bobby Shmurdas vibes, but that’s the only rapper I can think of. Yeah dmx yelled some and was aggressive, but the sounds are still completely different. At one point, thug tried to purposely sound like lil Wayne then build from there. I can’t respect that. 69 came up with something new himself.

Paul Anka collab is Don't Matter To Me

Q: What’s going on with Drake?

A: I’m really under a code of silence, you know how he is. It’s one song. It’ll be out in June. There was apprehension when we got together (because) you want to know people and you want to like them. I’m at the stage in my life that I don’t want to waste my time (but) he’s a good human being. The people around him are very smart, and he’s very smart, and I knew that the component I brought to the table that he would, as I told him, break the code, and it did. It just came together with him creatively and intellectually. We’ve got a great record.

Q: Any hints on the title?

A: No title yet. My contribution title is It Don’t Matter To Me. I don’t know if it’s going to be that. They haven’t made that decision. Right now it’s Drake’s record, and we’re respecting that.

Q: Do you sing on it?

A: I’m not sure yet. Maybe not. What I brought to the table has been my production. I think what we’re really doing here, and what you have to do with anything creative like that, is what’s best for the song. I’ve always worn many hats: publisher, writer, producer. So like on the (Michael) Jackson records, I was the producer and writer. When you hear the material, it speaks for itself.

Real savages would still take shots at his vehicle at a light with mask on or could have caught 69 while he was getting into the vehicle. He also went to stores where people could have wacked him while walking out. Truth is, chiraq took a big fat L while keef and tadoe got shot up in 69’s New York since he’s currently the king of it. No shooters were looking for 69 or tracking him down. He clowned Chicago and basically ended cheef
    Keefs career.

And Thug sounds completely different from Wayne. So you can't respect Thug because when he was a teenager he made songs that sounded like Lil Wayne that you've never heard before? Yeah ok. If you don't think Thug is on his own wave at this point, like I said, you haven't you listened enough. You can already hear Thug's influence in rappers NBA Youngboy, Gunna, Lil Baby, Sahbabi, Greedo, etc.

What's "new" about Tekashi's music? It's got undeniable energy to it, but I wouldn't call it new or innovative really.
