Eminem Drake Ties Kanye West & Eminem For Second-Most No. 1 Albums in Rap

    Drake‘s More Life playlist debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week. The playlist is Drake’s seventh consecutive chart-topping album. According to Nielsen Music, More Life moved 505,000 album units opening week, with 226,000 in traditional album sales and 23,000 TEA units. A record 257,000 units were attributed to streaming equivalent album units — equivalent to 384.8 million streams of songs from More Life. Drake’s seventh No. 1 album ties with Eminem and Kanye West for the second-most No. 1s among rap acts, with only JAY Zahead with 13 No. 1s. More Life also had the biggest opening week for any album since the Toronto rapper’s VIEWS, which debuted with 1.04 million units moved in May of 2016.

    Yeah according to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_discography they are counting IYRTITL and WATTBA. It says they all hit #1 in the US

    I dunno... should a Collab album count? Should IYRTITL count since it was a mixtape?

    I'm not knocking the other albums, those all definitely went #1 first week.

    WATTBA? Really? It's more the earlier ones - I remember being so disappointed with his first album whatever that was - can't believe that was #1. Same with a couple of the others.

    So Far Gone should be included in his album charting performance since he did officially release it. It debuted at 6 and fell to 9 in its first 2 weeks. Not all his albums were able to achieve #1 on the charts.

    SFG was released free as a mixtape and later on they sold it as a EP not a full album only 7 songs so that doesn't count.

    Where should it fall in? It was a successful project. It went Gold RIAA certified.
