Not mainstream enough, the teen girls, the soccer moms etc. Like softer sounding music like "Hotline Bling". Dre drums go hard af, and I can't picture some typical white girl banging to that intro...

Because Dre focused on making one great body of work, rather then trying to force out a single for the radio, and taking away that completely cohesive aspect. Imagine having some random a--- song with Chris Brown and YG right after Darkside/Gone. A Dr. Dre/DJ Mustard collab would've been interesting... But I like Compton the way it is now, I don't think you need a radio single to have a good project.

Also @Arch Dogg thinks Machine Gun Kelly is a great rapper...thus it invalidates his opinion on Compton.

Haha Arch I'm just f---ing with ya dawg. To each their own but you can't tell me Compton is better than a Plies album?

It didn't need to have some forced made for radio single. The Chronic and 2001 didn't have those. They just had great rap songs that were released as singles. Songs that appeal to the hip-hop community but also can be banged in any party or club. That's Dre's target audience.

I liked Compton for what it was. It's something just to vibe to, but not sure why we didn't get any classic Dre beats.

compton is a great album. not for dr dre's rapping (which is solid, and even great at some points)

but i like it more for the production and features. almost every guest verse or hook killed it on this album. even eminem
