Jul 5, 2015 I don't know if I can agree, on the grounds you stated. I mean, to keep him off, out of "spite" or whatever isn't the best idea. They should work together, but absolutely nothing Eminem touches should make it onto the CD unless it's seriously, "Forgot About Dre" level stuff. No put it on my wee wee, or trying to cram a billion words into a verse. Call me stupid, but I think he still is capable of surprising us with something of that calibre, especially with Dre. They had such good chemistry early on, they need to tap that again, if they do, there could be some amazing music to be heard. With the level of hype that would surround this, I think Eminem would have to realize this is it, time to get f---ing serious, it's too big a deal to deliver a half assed effort.
Jul 5, 2015 I'd be more tempted to think this is the reason. Dre been concentrated on his Beats brand. Or maybe Em is mad Dre cheated on him with Jimmy Iovine
Jul 5, 2015 Dre's been too busy making Beats money to make actual beats for other people ... what's the last track that had "produced by dr dre" in it ? And I know he's become more of a "conductor" than a beat maker now but still Actually i just checked the last one apparently was 50 cent's "New Day" .. which was a Swizz Beats track first if I remember correctly
Jul 5, 2015 They are still family no hard feelings...All about the music...Hope they in the studio makin something phenomenal
Jul 5, 2015 I was under the impression Dre was the one that spilt. Eminem pretty much begged the fool for his help on INAD "Get up Dre I'm dyin', I need you, come back for f---’s sake"
Jul 5, 2015 I've been thinking that for years. Break it down into eras of you want. From 200-2002 be one cd 2002 to 2004 be another etc. call it the detox chronicles. That way you can release it and not be pinned down to one album that will disappoint.
Jul 6, 2015 Dre didn't even do nothing for King Kenny on TPAB except give a few lines no production on GKMC either just mixing and wasn't it like 2013 his last beat that we heard?i think Dre cut everyonelse off to continue making money who can blame him he's a businessman why release a album or produce something and make a few million when you can make a billion dollars with beats
Jul 6, 2015 Who knows when this beat was honestly created but the song/album came out 2014. And don't forget this gem we'll probably never hear in full.
Jul 6, 2015 Yeah beat could of been made anytime even so I knew he hadn't done anything recently he hasn't done anything huge since 2009 I don't think? Was it one beat for recovery none for GKMC none for MMLP2? And none for TPAB 3 albums you'd expect a lot of Dre material
Jul 6, 2015 Dre gave him an album full of fantastic beats and look what he did with it (relapse). I would have given up lol
Jul 6, 2015 Don't agree with Em not being there but I think we can all agree that this person definitely doesn't belong there
Jul 6, 2015 4/3/2002 Detox is no place for chronic, so expect something different from Dr. Dre on his third and final album. “I’m not talking about lowriders and blunts and all that anymore,” Dre said at his studio recently. “I mean, that’s played. As a matter of fact, I’m tired of hearing other people talk about it, to tell you the truth.” So what is the hip-hop pioneer going to talk about? “I had to come up with something different but still keep it hardcore, so what I decided to do was make my album one story about one person and just do the record through a character’s eyes,” Dre said. “And everybody that appears on my album is going to be a character, so it’s basically going to be a hip-hop musical.” Detox’s story line will chronicle the life of a hit man, describing “what he goes through and how he lives his life,” said Dre, who played a trigger-eager crooked cop in “Training Day.” “[It’s] about his family and how he makes a living.” So far, the album, which Dre said will be his last in front of the mic, is still in the early stages. “I’ve been blueprinting, getting ideas together for the past six months or so, just trying to figure out which direction I want to take and how I’m gonna present the project,” he said. “Just gathering sounds and what have you. I want this one to be really over the top.” Dre expects to start recording by summer, after he finishes a few tracks with Eminem and upcoming albums for three artists on his Aftermath label, Truth Hurts, Shaunta and Rakim. He said Detox should be out by summer 2003. “It’s probably going to take me like a year to get it all the way together.”
Jul 6, 2015 Willing to bet it was Dre who cut Em off, and I don't even think it was personal feuding or anything. Dre is just f---in lazy. Why produce to make money when you're basically bein handed money from headphone sales? Plus now he works at Apple. Dude just isn't inspired to work with anybody
