Dec 8, 2015 one year later and one down ... theres probably not one song that was on it back then that is on it now oh no, guys I'm hyped for truly yours 4 but what if its "bet s--- get scary when i f--- around and drop truly yours 4"
Dec 8, 2015 Cole hasn't lost any buzz at all after going ghost. It helped him tbh because everything he's doing is refreshing. Since he's out from hiding we got Black Fri, public appearances, HBOspecial announcement, Grammy noms, No Role Modelz still climbing and now ROTD2. All perfect promotion for him leading up to what ever is in store February
Dec 8, 2015 it seems like thats his career game plan go ghost for around a year and then out of nowhere drop a feature and before u know it a week later he's doing something else and then u can just tell its time for a new project within like 3 months very solid strategy for longevity still feel he cud done more for 2014 FHD like videos or something else creative tho :coffee: ... then again we are getting that HBO thing
Dec 8, 2015 Only song with Diamonds Dancing I really f--- with on that tape Bas thinks he slick, but 221 God is watching
Dec 8, 2015 Lol. Drake would be flattered if anything. Drake himself been taking people's flows his whole career. They all do.
Dec 8, 2015 the project shuda started with "Lil Niggaz (snippet)" again and it shuda just picked off where the last one left off but then just went for like another 30 seconds so its still not the full song
Dec 8, 2015 Idk if this was known or not, I didn't follow the tracklists and stuff, but he produced the intro
Dec 8, 2015 Why does everyone compare TDE and Dreamville? Cole founded Dreamville and is CEO next to IB, but Kenny didn't found TDE. TDE is run by Punch and Top, while Kenny is their leading artist. Dreamville should be compared more to something like OVO, Shady, or G.O.O.D. Music (collectives that are owned and operated by artists). Whereas TDE is the spawn of something very new, with the essence of Rockafeller, Def Jam or Death Row but with a more independent feel and having developed most of its artists from the infancy of their careers (minus Jay Rock) whereas the aformentioned labels picked up some of their most notable acts later in their careers. Let's compare Dreamville to whatever label Kendrick starts whenever that happens (it won't while he's in his prime) because the root of the comparison is Kendrick versus Cole.
Dec 8, 2015 I've still only listened to Caged birds once cause I've had housewives and tabs on repeat
Dec 8, 2015 i feel they are very similar in the organic grassroots feel of the labels tho (+the fact they're all cool with each other/make music with each other and not just on the same label) and to me u can draw pretty accurate comparisons between the artists (in terms of sound/lane not necessarily quality) cole - kendrick (you know) bas - Q (bangers/lot of weed talk lol but still with some lyrics) omen - ab soul (lyriscism) cozz - isaiah (young cats with good rhymes and use lots of melodies) IB - Jay Rock (the og's )
Dec 8, 2015 @JimmyBucketsNC when do you drop you're next project ? IB said too high to riot up (bas) next and then nothing personal (cozz) but he didn't mention when you're dropping ...
