Dec 23, 2020 I hope, if this shows him ANYTHING, it's that the surprise album shtick is getting old. Kamikaze did BIG numbers because of the music quality, and word-of-mouth of what he was saying and how he was saying it. It was also the first time he surprised us. "Eminem just retaliated for everybody dissing him! Check it out!" The quality of the music definitely made an impact though. Eminem was rapping, but he wasn't going TOO fast. He wasn't rhyming a million words at once, either. He was saying real s---, over songs you could actually bump in the car, too. His delivery was perfect. The beats, perfect. I don't think the quality of the music here is gripping enough. There's a bit of word-of-mouth with the shots at Snoop and Tekashi, but the rest of the music isn't really on the same level as Kamikaze, and he hasn't really been since some songs on the first Murdered By Anyway, I just really hope he stops "surprising" us, and at least posts a picture or something up on Instagram or some s---...Twitter, Facebook, YouTube even...

Dec 24, 2020 Hardly any big artist is doing a promo run now. Doesn’t work in the streaming era and is a tiresome method. Look at how bad revival was handled. Also seems like to me that Em must have a agreement with the label, that he will drop music on his terms and label don’t get involved or promote the album. Rumours contract were up with interscope after revival. I think Em just likes making music and rest of it is what ever.
Dec 25, 2020 MTBMB Side B is better than Kamikaze. I think the economy being so bad right now may have affected sales, plus people spending for gifts and the holidays.
