Dec 21, 2020 They could have released it as a seperate album, but they didnt, they made it a deluxe, as u said, as a smart business move, therefore it counts towards the original album. 13 new songs plus skits is to the listener practically a new album, but technically it is not.
Dec 21, 2020 I know 'technically' it isn't, when talking about it in the context of how it's released or how it'll be defined in the charts. I'm saying in reality, that aside, it is. It is a new CD of unheard and previously unreleased music, and fans knew about it - to us it's a new album, we didn't hear the rumours and go ''new music? oh but it's being released a deluxe? ah I already heard the original". It's still a new release of new music for Em. Sales-wise... shockingly bad for Em. Like I said, I don't care but I know he will. Hope it doesn't take him back off course, cause he's been on point for 3 albums in a row now.

Dec 21, 2020 It actually does matter what you title it.... it being called a deluxe literally makes it a deluxe and makes it perceived by the buying public as a deluxe. With 0 marketing and just his post on IG/Twitter the casual fan will know it as such and not be interested. I know I'm not when I see other artists deluxe albums. Sales would be much higher if it was a standalone album
