Pretty much yeah.

I think it can be both, but never 'just theme'. If he sounds like a different character, a different person, style, rapper, everything from track to track... rap style but also musically... that can never be cohesive. Not to my ears anyway. It's a mess.

You can't be Mr. somber mature minimalist backdrop piano pondering his career one minute then zany diarrhea man over goofy rock sample the next. It just sounds stupid. But, I think you can if the sound / tone is similar... just like "Rock Bottom" can sit on an album with "I'm Shady", because the production and his style sounds similar, it sounds like the same family of music.

TES had a bunch of different themes for example and also musical styles, but Em produced most of it and all for the same album and he made those songs for that album in a certain timeframe, so they sound connected. That can't happen if he's picking a beat from this guy over here which he made 5 years ago for some random reason, then he's making a beat himself here, then Rubin pops up with a sample here, it's just random and a total mess. Pick and mix.

I don’t want a “Revival Recharged” or anything more tied to that album. Just cut you’re losses and drop a completely new project so we can put it behind us.

Em doesn't like rapping over good music now though remember? He's not into rap, he wants bad pop with sprinkles on top.

Tell you what - go find a recording of chimps with trash cans on their feat stomping in a padded room underwater, whilst somebody bangs a triangle and rubs tinsel on the mic... Or any Alex Da Kid beat ever and give that to Slim. He'll love it.

Don't forget to also CC [insert any famous pop star here] into the email so Ri/Pink/Ed/Bey/Adele/Beebz/Whoever is available and wants to make some fast single release $$$ can hop on it and sing Skylar's 10,000th melodramatic stilton hook about love or overcoming odds. And if Em needs any direction on how to rap over it, just tell him to refer back to every song he's made on repeat for the past 7 years, or just a quick note like "rap aggressively, aimlessly and vaguely about 'some relationship s---' in a way that's broad enough to apply to anybody and appeal to as many teenagers the world over as possible".

Let me know when he finishes it too, in 18 years from now. Can't wait. New classic incoming!
