Jan 18, 2018 Theory: The Bodied OST is the next album. Em knew he couldn't please his entire fanbase, so he released a pop album. He knew a large segment of his fanbase would still love it, and miss these types of songs if he went straight hip-hop. He also knew that it would be largely panned by the hip-hop community. He worked with Joe Budden to drum up a little excitement with the subliminal diss stuff, and set the tone for whatever he does next. He leaves clues to this on Revival. On Believe (Second track on revival) he says, "If you turn your back on me now and walk out I will never let you live it down", then he goes on to deliver Revival, and then on Arose when he rewinds the track he says: "Shred these old letters I wrote on that old pathetic loathing Closing credits can roll I'm proud to be back I'm 'bout to, like a rematch" ... "and came back like a boomerang on them" I think this kind of setup would be great promotion, especially if Bodied (and it's soundtrack) are really good. Bodied just got picked up by YouTube for a global release, and I guess it's going to theaters.

Jan 18, 2018 there's still time to make some hits out of revival. I don't like that song with Ed Sheeran but it got up #11 on billboard. But yeah as someone who wasn't really a fan of Revival at all I'd like if he started working on and promoting the next album asap
Jan 18, 2018 Gonna go off topic but W.T.P would be close to being a great Eminem song if he didn't make it while he was sober. Got a great vibe. Works perfectly in Project X but it just isn't who Em is at the time so it's kind of redundant. Makes it feel forced, not really genuine. Which if it was would 'bolster it's narrative' etc.
