Jan 31, 2018 so he can smack 'em with the backwards E, the Emi,nem, em,blem.... before he faces them, looks 'em right in the eye, then wastes them b---!
Jan 31, 2018 Em is doing a Revival Europe tour later this year. People complain that he not doing a US tour?Like seriously why would Em do a tour of US after half of his fan base in that country turned their backs on him just because he dissed the most pathetic president of all time? Revival and River were huge in UK and Europe so kinda obvious he would tour there. How times have changed, Em destroyed Bush on Mosh and got zero backlash, he dissed Trump and loses half his fan base?Lol
Jan 31, 2018 True. Em doesn't like rapping over good music now though remember? He's not into rap, he wants bad pop with sprinkles on top. Tell you what - go find a recording of chimps with trash cans on their feat stomping in a padded room underwater, whilst somebody bangs a triangle and rubs tinsel on the mic... Or any Alex Da Kid beat ever and give that to Slim. He'll love it. Don't forget to also CC [insert any famous pop star here] into the email so Ri/Pink/Ed/Bey/Adele/Beebz/Whoever is available and wants to make some fast single release $$$ can hop on it and sing Skylar's 10,000th melodramatic stilton hook about love or overcoming odds. And if Em needs any direction on how to rap over it, just tell him to refer back to every song he's made on repeat for the past 7 years, or just a quick note like "rap aggressively, aimlessly and vaguely about 'some relationship s---' in a way that's broad enough to apply to anybody and appeal to as many teenagers the world over as possible". Let me know when he finishes it too, in 18 years from now. Can't wait. New classic incoming!
Jan 31, 2018 I remember when MMLP2 came out, there were appreciation threads made for specific songs, but this time the reaction lasted for few days and the hype went down. Why is it the case, you might wonder? Well, let me start with the promotion. The promotion was the worst thing for this album. Imagine if we got Walk On Water teaser before everything. Imagine if the Revival website was gradually developing. River should have been the second single. I am really not understanding why they released Untouchable before everything. River has audio on YouTube, but no video or any promotion. It’s really strange. Anyways, now let’s talk about the album. This is going to be the weirdest comparison, but the album felt like…. Disneyland to me. This was my first impression, or thought. Hooks of Alicia Keys, X Ambassadors, and other singers remind of a Disney movie. X Ambassadors sounds like it they could fit into… Lion King? Strange comparison, but that was the first thing that came to my mind. Hooks have made the listen a great journey. WOW - 10/10 Intro. Although maybe it’s not a great single and it’s not what we expected, it’s a great intro. Believe - 10/10. When I first heard the song, I thought it was beyond amazing. We need more of that. This is Recovery 2. This is like “You Can Own The City” we were waiting for. The “younger days, dream was fun to chase” line is so good. Chloraseptic - 8/10. Very good song, but his verses are really long. Remix is 9/10. Untouchable - 8.5/10. Hook is very catchy. River - 6/10. Not a fan of the flow or a song. Sometimes it gets playable, but not much. Remind Me (Intro) - this more likely was a track, it was cut. Sounds like it was either a Relapse cut or he was attempting to make a Relapse-type song and it didn’t make it. Remind Me - people really hate it on here, no comments on that. I liked the beat and the hook personally. Didn’t pay attention to lyrics. Revival (Interlude) - It could’ve been a song, or was a song. Strange cut, just like the Intro to Remind Me. Like Home - 9/10 I am not into politics, but Alicia Keys hook is great. And when he says “No place Like Home”, it adds chills. Bad Husband - 10/10 for me. Very emotional. First verse sounds good, third is very emotional. Eminem’s voice here is hoarse, it adds rawness to the song. Mentioning the name of his wife makes it sound real, unlike some metaphors like in STIW. Tragic Endings - 7/10. Recovery cut? Framed - 9/10 Relapse-like track Nowhere Fast - 9/10. Introduces the topic diversity, the singing in the end is very emotional. Heat - 8/10 Offended - 8/10. The hook sounds straight from MMLP era. He can still do that voice. The ending fast rapping is really cool. Need Me - 8/10 Pink singing is great. Beat is great. Eminem verse is alright, but it doesn’t have any cringe punchlines! In Your Head - 8.5/10 Enjoyable Castle - 9/10 Arose -10/10. The raw production is enjoyable. Lyrics is on TES level. I loved the switch. Amazing ending. Overall, the album is good. It combined MMLP, TES, Recovery, and MMLP2 styles. Absence of punchlines made it really enjoyable. Looking forward to the new album!
