Mar 4, 2018 i feel like em wont let revivals entire name be ruined and only have negative connotation because that looks really bad for him, so im sure hes working on putting out a refill of sorts with all fire tracks and then he’ll start touring and include some of those in the sets and boom, revival and ems name are replenished and he can take his time working on one more classic full album
Mar 4, 2018 Post Revival I've genuinely begin to believe he doesn't have it in him anymore, as far as creating a good album goes, his mindset has drastically changed from creating songs in a period of a certain phase of his to make music to please different people from his fanbase, which, imo, is a problem. Does he have the skill set he used to have back then? Certainly, but his vision is so distorted he's never going to make a decent album ever again
Mar 4, 2018 I messaged Bizarre from D12 and asked him what happened to the real Em I know he's been replaced he said send 10 k and he would tell me
Mar 4, 2018 okay ems last good album was relapse it 2018 and relapse sounds dated asf tho im getting tired of waiting for em to connect back with dre and better producers so if nothing come in the next 2 weeks i wont be coming back on here i gotta get ajob im now 24 i have to move in a few months to a new town Again! ugh maybe it time for me to let go of eminem
Mar 4, 2018 Bro just live your life Em will drop new music later this year for sure. Just don’t be so dependent on it, it’s unhealthy
Mar 4, 2018 Relapse is actually one of his best aged albums imo...? Definitely aged better than Recovery. SSLP/MMLP encapsulate an era of pop culture that we are way ahead of. TES is pretty timeless but has several political moments that don't connect as well anymore. Encore is just bizarre idk. MMLP2 I think ages well, but we need to give it several more years to see. But Relapse, man, I think it was Royce or maybe Mr. Porter who said in an interview before it came out that "the world isn't ready" or "Relapse is ahead of its time" and I mean maybe those are a little dramatic statements but to a degree it feels kind of true, especially how Relapse has only been getting more love as time goes on and more of his creative endeavors fall by the wayside. Maybe the world really wasn't ready for Relapse. Maybe it was a gift we didn't fully appreciate until we had the hindsight to see that Eminem wasn't going to be as clever or creative again. The production was never going to be as clean and banging. Never as visceral and in your face. I dunno where I'm going with this but I'm just f---in bored at work so gimme a break oh btw you can let go of eminem whenever you want i dont think anyone is going to care or notice.
Mar 4, 2018 i wonder how pissed off the producers em works with must get when he decides to change album direction im sur eporter did a few beats for relapse 2 not including on fire (recovery) actully thinking about it now em said he had a whole album with dre when he did a relapse 2 interview dre 50 and em guess we will never hear it though
Mar 5, 2018 He still can create a classic. Just give him a decent lot of producers with whom he shares a great chemistry. Give him Dre, Metro, Preemo, Statik Selektah, Sid Roams, The Alchemist, Scram Jones(I fw with his In Your Head beat) Emile Haynie etc. Remove all the yes men. He clearly has the skill. But he doesn't have that guidance which helped him in putting out classic albums in his prime.
Mar 5, 2018 sid roams and alchemist would cook up some s--- for em i just know it but doubt em would go that route
Mar 5, 2018 I wouldn't say Relapse sounds dated... Because it doesn't sound like anything to begin with. It's not like albums in 2009 sounded like Relapse lol. It was a bizarre and alien album then, and is now. It's unique. But dated isn't really a relevant criticism for me personally; Illmatic sounds dated, but it's still a classic and the music is timeless. Dated is more of a statement than a criticism to me.
