May 3, 2018 Recovery was the beginning of the end for Eminem's artistry. Whatever anybody thinks of Relapse... it was pure. He meant it. And it was what he wanted to make. Recovery was the first time - not that he listened to criticism and reacted to it, as he always did, but that he didn't have an artistic answer for it so instead... followed populist concepts. Got young, buzzy producers, big features and did all the s--- the label has probably been asking him to do forever. Once he did that, no turning back. Revival is the s-----y epitome of the beginning (Recov) of the end (Revival). So sad. Wish he just had the balls to follow his vision through.

May 3, 2018 Have you ever thought that may be relapse 'flopping' shifted artistic control from him to his label. I think the label allowed him to do whatever as long as it sells. Relapse 'flopping' took the power away from him. Also people seem to exaggerate Em's control over his music, 'The real slim shady' was made because the label demanded it, in 'The way I am' he also talked about artistic interference.
May 3, 2018 Relapse/Recovery/MMLP2/Shady XV era we’re second prime for him. Revival is a flop, even though I enjoyed the album. His hard trying is very noticeable now.
May 3, 2018 exactly, relapse was the last real eminem album,had an intro, skits, real songs structure,real flows, real hip hop beats ,real hooks/hip hop hooks etc..... add that to the fact that dre started to make banks with beats and em was lost, he had already lost bass bros and now lost dr dre to his beats headphones , he decided to turn to royce da 5 9, biggest mistake of his career.
