"But just a n----- walking with his finger on the trigger Make enough figures until my pockets get bigger" Oh, look, another rapper talking about money and gangsta stuff, what a surprise. ¿See how stupid it sounds? This the structure, flow, rhyming, developing and beat that make the song like it this. If you hear the song these puns doesn't sound awkard at all, in fact some ones are pretty good btw

I quote you, those bars from State Of Mind by Nas. For itself they look like the classic gangsta song, when State Of Mind is in reality a f---ing masterpiece. Survival is a 7/10 song but that's it. The bars you quote aren't as corny as they sound in the actual song.

Dec 22, 2014 If you think Survival is forced you never heard Recovery then. Survival is really calmed in comparison and it flows well with the beat. He switchs the flow adapting it with the context of the lines and it sounds great. "I'm not a rapper, I'm an adapter – I can adjust Plus, I can just walk up to a mic and just bust" The way he flow these lines is incredible. He put effort in every word he spits and it sounds great. I never hear a rapper saying the word "walk" better than Eminem.
