The thing people aren't giving em tho is just how technical the album was. His technical skills (outside of that f----- up delivery for the most part) were insane on mmlp2 that's why the album gets any praise. Other than that it was pretty rough to listen to. Musically a bunch of albums were better but he displayed a lot more skill than anyone else IMO.

Delivery is integral to good technique.
Relapse would be an example of good technique that doesn't deliver musically.
    MMLP2 is not.

Its part of it sure... Not the whole thing tho. The way he can work words that shouldn't rhyme in to very technical multiple syllable schemes is downright impressive. But I agree about relapse .. Those flows he had on that album were insane

his tech has always been tight. on relapse and recovery though he was spacing out his delivery of a point over bars at a time. on mmlp2, xv and his more recent features it comes across that he's putting a great deal of thought into s--- down to individual words and syllables

I've noticed that more than anything. like, on recovery when he references previous work he keeps the melody going. I'm not sure if that was a crutch or a stylistic choice or a little of both but since mmlp2, actually since throw it up, it's been different. on dve for example, when he says babysitter in the insane voice. this kind of attention to detail is a breath of fresh air for the industry

And you somehow find that trap/thug s--- better than Em's s---? With actual good storytelling/technicality? That's a joke.... even way past his prime, Q is nowhere near em's level (and I like Q)

Ahh so it's ok then for Q, because he's a s--- lyrical technician, so be gets a pass, because he picked good beats.

But by all means continue to wonder and ponder over why he hasn't wont a grammy.

You can win something you don't deserve without being famous, just saying.

Well d--- you got me, I totally wouldn't give an award to the clearly more deserving participant on the basis that I am not as famous as Eminem :cam::camby:

You mean that you won't throw it away and you're just guessing about others' actions based on your own, I didn't say anything :dno:

I don't really know you tho but there ain't more than few people who can do what you said. But still non of the albums there really deserve more than MMLP 2. As whole album to listen MMLP 2 is a good one i think. So it's not really undeserved or anything. Macklemore's album get the award why wouldn't MMLP 2 anyway.

Common and Childish Gambino both had way better projects than MMLP2, easily. And the fact that last year they made a s-----y racist choice doesn't mean they should do it again.
