Last year was a terrible year for hiphop, so pretending anything destroyed Eminem's album is a joke. Common's album was easily second best but still really boring.

I think you're dumb. It's not about color. If it was Kanye and Jay-Z would have less grammies than Eminem has and also they gave the Best Rap Performance to Kendrick which was obvious that Rap God is the best performance by any rapper among those nominees.

They gave kenny best performance because they felt bad for giving it to the white boy last time

And MMLP2 was bad compared to every other album except Iggy's, the only reason Eminem won is because most of the voting committee are the kinda guys who only listen to Eminem and Hopsin because they're "real rap" but have never heard of Common.

    New Classic was sellout garbage
Nobodys Smiling was a great example of how an aging rap star can maintain relevancy without selling out and losing quality
MMLP2 is the opposite of Nobody's Smiling
Oxymoron was a commendable effort that fell short due to slightly too many underwhelming tracks
BTI was one of the most innovative rap albums ever

Clearly BTI was the true winner, with New Classic and MMLP2 being the clear losers

Buuuuuut Eminem is white and more commitee voters knew him so...

Stupid. you even said it yourself. It's nothing to do with color. Em's popular and yes they gave him award maybe because of that not because he is whte. Since u said MMLP 2 is opposite of what u called Nobody's Smiling and u didnt even accept that Rap God deserves Best Rap performance more than I.you're ignorant I ain't talking no more just waste of time...

I don't always hate tho, I admit I strongly dislike the man but I give credit where credit is due. MMLP, SSLP, and TES are all classics. That's not something a "hater" would say.

I only say so many negative things about Eminem because there's too much dickriding on his behalf. There is literally no artist in the world living or dead that is as good as y'all make him out to be.

Question is, did you listen to the other albums and fully comprehend them and view them with the same mindset you viewed MMLP2? I think not.

Well yeah that's a given the first three are far too good for anyone to actually hate on them. But still .. Not saying just you but a lot of people have clueless hate toward him. I agree the fans that d-ck ride and say he's still as good as he once was are f---ing dumb but to not appreciate his skill is insane. Dude can still rap circles around circles around 95% of well known rappers today.

Yeah I guess we're in agreement on mindless hate = mindless love in terms of stupidity but yeah I feel like Eminem can't make complete records anymore and I'm more of a overall song guy than lyrics guy you know. Like the beat and how the flow interacts with the beat are what I like and those happen to be Eminems weakest points so ofc I'm not gonna like him y'know

Yeah I definitely get that argument. Musically he just doesn't even try anymore I feel like. Like recovery was an attempt at that then everyone s--- on the beat selection and poppy tunes. Kinda goes to my point tho.. Dude can't win. If he makes listenable catchy songs he's sold out if he is overly lyrical he can't make music. At this point an album would have to be nearly perfect for anyone to vibe with em anymore

I feel like Eminem absolutely SHOULD NOT go the poppy route, in his early days he was like the least poppy dude so that's totally a sellout move. He needs to get wholly different producers, drop his s-----y current flow, and make an angry f--- you Yeezus type album

Yeah. He just has to somehow channel his inner '02 and make good music. And go back to that effortless perfect flow he once had

I always hear people talking about how his key to his flow is matching the drums, so I always thought getting a producer who has Goat drums (Flying Lotus or Travis Scott) would be perfect because itd compliment his rap style, create a new sound, go against the grain, and promote lesser known producers
