Haven’t read through the whole debate but I can see Kanye was mentioned in regards to creating the hype Em did...and it’s a bad example for a start bc Kanye supports Trump lol

And yes, of course race plays a part in Eminem’s success — it made it harder for him to get a breakthrough bc people thought he was a joke being a white man in a black mans game — but ultimately, once he broke through, being white did help him, of course. It made him stand out.

I already said Eminem gimmick was being the first white rapper to make it. No one cares about the rest.

Good or bad, future white rappers will never get the attention Eminem does because it already happened... we already had the crazy white boy that rocked the mic... no one gives a f--- if it happens again. Even if there's other white rappers better than Em... they won't have his image and gimmick of being "the white boy". And again, no one gives a f--- about Yelawolf because he's garbage.

But in the context of the BET freestyle — he caused more of a reaction (even more than he would normally do) because of the fact he is white, and is standing up for black rights etc. It is more powerful coming from someone in HIS position and of HIS colour
