Mar 2, 2020 Please name the people in the game who are currently rapping extremely fast and doing that rappity rap s--- where the general public (even half of the public) love it??? It's a niche that had its' moment in time for 'mainstream popularity'. That isn't the case anymore.
Mar 2, 2020 And as far as I remember Kid Rock said to Em when he was young to slow it down a bit and then he might make it. That wasn't what made him big. Visceral storytelling, rapping skills, dark humor, personal life drama and ease to rap along to his music these were the core ingredients.
Mar 2, 2020 I wasn't talking about that part of the discussion, I couldn't careless, I was talking about him being with dr.dre
Mar 2, 2020 I think they're combining it with him sacrificing song fluidity to keep the same rhyme scheme going, and the syllable sound combine.
Mar 3, 2020 Maybe I'm too drunk but are we on the same page? I still see the visceral storytelling, dark humor, rap skills, personal life, etc. in his music recently. I know exactly what you are talking about. He told him to slow down. Or are you saying the speed isn't the issue???? I don't think him delving into his current personal life and other areas on top of rapping 'fast' would help him very much. He isn't rapping crazy fast on Music To Be Murdered By but the key is what made him a global icon to begin with. The presentation!!!! The world isn't into that presentation of Eminem. He needs to be simpler and slower where he is understood in a way that casual 'rap fans' steer towards. I find it annoying given how much he's improved as a lyricist that he continues to delve into the wrong direction. I think his improvement would only demonstrate his 'prime style' of rapping in a far greater light. I think Premonition is a perfect example of the true Eminem evolving in the appropriate way. Not Godzilla type of s---.
Mar 3, 2020 If you don’t believe he ruined Godzilla with the fast rapping bs that’s only impressive to white peoples you are a huge fa----
Mar 3, 2020 I'm saying the rappity rap thing isn't what made him great back in the day. Yeah, I see those too, but he got tame with it and there is no drama anymore.
Mar 3, 2020 I agree, and (more interestingly) Eminem himself understood this very well. he kinda re-invented his rap persona back in 2010, making it all about skill and technicality, and the success of rap god didn't help obviously
Mar 4, 2020 Well he’s not relatable because he doesn’t live life anymore. Nobody can relate to a millionaire who stays in his house all day just thinking about hip hop as a puzzle to entertain yourself all this man does is rhyme and think of rhymes that’s why he’s content is lacking. Words are just words and now he’s only rhyming for the f--- of it. I mean, did we learn anything new about him on MTBMB?
