Jul 21, 2019 This lame having a convo with himself. Smh at forcing yourself to like something, pathetic to listen to a song you didnt like 40+ times momma aint raise you right boy
Jul 21, 2019 "I didn't put a dent in the game compared to the damage I have yet to do" This is hard as bricks
Jul 21, 2019 what can i do... i overreacted after the first few listens. I like the song now. I like how hard Conway goes in on the first beat and now I appreciate the different flows Em has on the song. Just like after Kamikaze it took me a few listens to appreciate or like it because Em gives you so much different s--- in one song it's hard to take in 1st listen.
Jul 21, 2019 I wish Iggy Azalea would respond to Eminem in a full blown diss track and then Em to respond back on a track.
Jul 21, 2019 Well, not sure how clear I can explain it but I'll try. For example Drake's music is for everybody to consume, he has a bumping trap beat everybody would love and he doesn't really create something new at all. It's for the easy and fast consume, I doubt anybody plays a 10 year old Drake track today nor they will ever in the future. But Eminem has more of a unique sound, think of the best of classical music, people play it for hundreds of years. Eminem can actually create that type of music. People still listen to his 17 year old songs like Lose Yourself, Till I Collapse. And about his new style of changing the beat and the flow is actually pretty good. Sure not everybody gon like the genius of it, it's not gonna be the most popular thing but 1 verse of b--- equals like 2-3 different songs of freshness with all the beat and flow changes. I think specially the beat change works for songs like this in the long run. I can see the first beat is too dark and awesome but the more you listen to the song it's gonna come as boring to hear a rap over the same beat for 4 mins. On the other hand, Em really gave smh in the verse, with the beat changes and stuff, the song will definitely sound fresh for longer period of time. That was kinda like the Kamikaze's magic, too. It gives a whole new feel... I'd explain this a lot better in my main language but whatever...
Jul 21, 2019 i can definitely understand what you're saying. s--- really makes sense, thanks man. yea i have the same feeling about kamikaze. and b--- gonna take a few listens to get it.
Jul 21, 2019 Exactly my thoughts. To add, when you are a fan of an artist, it shouldn't be tiring to hear about his or her past etc. Btw, who really cannot relate to anything about an heist ? I mean those guys are humans as well, they get sad, mad, happy etc. It shouldn't be so hard to relate things you don't do... That being sad Eminem is one of the most relatable rapper ever with all his life story and the way he actually tells it thru his words and music... I'm perfectly fine with an album full of "b---"s
Jul 21, 2019 s--- i just thought about all the songs that i heard that i loved from first listen, especially the beat and the flow. you forget about them so fast, you are so right!! in the moment you think oh this is the best s--- ever but its gone after 1 week. Eminem's music for example is different. He putts so much work in and does as good as he can and that's what he does with every f---ing song. if it's not good enough he won't release it. b--- is another example of tzhat.
Jul 21, 2019 I love hearing Em name drop and give his opinion, and bring up his achievements and battles bc hes earned the right to talk his s---. Theres certain ppl who have no doubt earned the right to be cocky af and son ppl. Em and Jay are 2 for sure. But for years recovery until kamikaze eminem was tame af. Every interview he was just saying he thought hip hop was in a good place and everyone was dope yada yada. I was always like BULL s--- lol. That's why I loved his sway interview and the interview he did with LL COOL J bc he was acting like himself. But kamikaze until now hes bring up his past, boasting his status and letting ppl know what he really thinks.
Jul 21, 2019 Glad to see the majority thinks it’s an 8-10. I strongly agree, I’m thinking more 9 now tbh
Jul 21, 2019 Let's be real, like it or not, Em has been on f---ing fire since Kamikaze. Easily the best era in 10 years
Jul 21, 2019 Yeah. Idk, I’m likely grading on a curve but I do kind of like how this is him on a grimy pre-sslp type beat. And how Remember the Name is on 2003 vibes. Fwiw solid 2019 summer of features... but yeah I wish he would’ve stayed on beat probably a situation where no one can tel him no
Jul 21, 2019 I just want Em to keep rapping over hard hip hop beats like he‘s been doing since kamikaze. There‘s prolly a Big Sean feature incoming judging by the pictures Sean has posted
