Jul 22, 2019 You cannot compare any of those to Em. Macklemore seriously ? Has he ever really get the respect from the culture or other rappers at all ? Sure he had a huge hit or two but that was it. He was there for few years and then looking now, he is kinda irrelevant. He has nothing to compare to Em in anything except his skin color as a rapper. Justin Timberlake is a pop artist. When was pop ever a black music really ? Was it really defined by skin color ever ?? I don't think so... He has that longevity, he has the talent and success and guess he writes lyrics too. Everytime he drops something he is relevant but his last album didn't do so well. Plus, he has like 4-5 album in like 17 years. He was never actually as big as Em was nor was he at his peak as long as Em was ( Remember Em had 99-03 run -might even say 04 cuz Encore was huge too. he also had 2010-2013 run Recovery was as huge as his biggest album, and we might say he is having another peak post 2018. ) Eminem maintained that level of success for soo long that you can only compare that to handful of artists like MJ... Elvis is the closest one cuz he had that loong run from like 1953 to mid 70's. Sure he had some ups and downs but he was almost always no. 1 whenever he dropped an album just like Em. But he barely even write any song at all. His most famous songs are usually written by someone else as far as I remember. Oh and Elvis has like 100 albums counting all the live, compilation, studio, postmothous and re issue albums and all of those combined sold makes 224 million of certified units while Em has 2 diamonds and probably gonna have few more even before he dies and with a lot less number of albums he has 226 million of certified units. So as much as I love Elvis I don't think he can be compared to Em at all. Eminem is really smh special. He might pass anybody in the best selling list by the time his career is done. I'm also wonderin' will he ever has a studio album that never will go platinum at all lol. We all know even Revival did go platinum or will be soon.

He could literally have said: „Dinner time like I ate a clock“ So you would have had „ate a clock“ so he ate time (it’s dinner time) AND the connection between „eight o‘clock“ and dinner would make perfect sense cuz 8pm is a reasonable time to eat dinner. Would be a much doper line with that homophone. Crazy that Em didn‘t see this. But yeah I‘m dumb asf.
