Aug 8, 2019 Eminems sensitive a--- will def be hurt over this Cant take an ounce of criticism he ruined that track
Aug 8, 2019 Lord Jamar these last two segments.... Part 13: "I don't want to keep gettin' into this s--- about this guy.." Part 14: "YOOOOO, n-----'S DON'T LISTEN TO EM! CONWAY GET'S IT!!"
Aug 9, 2019 uhhh Lord Jamar has no idea what he is talking about. Everyone in the Hood is bumping “Remind me” and “Tragic Endings.” Those songs f---ing slap. WWC? You know it’s being constantly banged out on their sound systems.
Aug 9, 2019 This.. where the h--- has he been past decade? Wont Back Down is being played on weekly basis around my streets. And im from a pretty rough neighborhood.
Aug 9, 2019 To be real. After hearing Conway in this interview it makes me wonder if he has actually ever listened to an Em album? He doesn’t seem to know anything or give a s--- with anything Em related.
Aug 9, 2019 Starpower is probably the only reason he was interested in a collab. I still don't get why people hate his verse so much except the last part but its not that he actually makes the song better either
Aug 9, 2019 True, that makes sense. I agree his verse is fine, some good lines. The end is pretty bad though. I think it would have been much better if the beat didn’t change as well. Seemed unnecessary.
Aug 9, 2019 Exactly. He does that a lot lately,, beat switches.. unfortunately that also (90% of the time) means he changes his flow into screaming, or fast, or choppy. This verse is a good example. Lyrics are fine, and I like most of the verse flow but some parts he just has to either rap fast or do other r-----ed s---. Still think this is one of his best recent features flow wise though.
Aug 9, 2019 Agreed... Very bizarre to basically say no one like himself listeners to Em, basically stating he’s wack and hardcore dudes from the hood don’t care about him...yet Conway signed to him to get pop culture exposure which results in more money than independent route.... I expect Em to postpone their Shady career lol he is sensitive and in this case rightfully so....50 Cent popularity came out of his connection to Em...great timing, great artist but you can argue the influence of Em co-sign in music if you want to make money
Aug 9, 2019 Agree, also like Em verse...and not a good look for Conway to try to throw shade at Em...Royce da 5’9 knows who cuts his checks... If you want to make money in hip-hop, getting co-signed by the biggest white artist is the best route lol the amount of white fans that will want to listen to you, buy your s--- and go to your concert drastically increases...white people may spend more money in hip-hop then any other ethnicity...i would like to see the statistics on that
Aug 9, 2019 Yep. One of the few times the beat switches actually worked imo was his verse on Medicine Man. I’ve heard people say that it “doesn’t fit in with the rest of the album” or “doesn’t fit the song” or “his lyrics are whack,” but did people actually listen to the whole album? I mean Snoop brought it so hard, no one barely recognized who he was. Prime Kendrick went in, and Cube, X, Conner, and Game all had crazy verses. I don’t see how Em’s verse didn’t “fit” the album? One of my favorite verse since his comeback (along with “Need Me” second verse). Sidenote. Compton had some f---ing spectacular songs and verses. Sure, it’s no Detox but definitely underrated. It’s just tougher in this generation since things come and go so fast, I think we miss a lot of good long lasting music.
Aug 9, 2019 1000% agree. I'm not always a fan of agressive eminem but on Compton it worked. All artist rapped kinda 'agressive' (cube, xzibit, kendrick, paak, snoop) and the first part of Eminems verse is amazing. 2nd part is solid as well. Compton is a great album. Perfect combination of vintage Dre w a more fresh / newer sound. I really like it tbh.
Aug 9, 2019 Yep very weird he would say that. He could have said something along the lines of “Ya no one in the hood is playing Eminem BUT Em is definitely not a guest in the house of Hip-Hop. He is much more than that” I don’t think some of these guys are very smart lol. Em (hopefully) knows no one is bumping his s--- in the hood, so I don’t think he would take offense to that, but who knows he is kind of a p---- tbh. But Conway agreeing with Lord Jamar has gotta piss Em of haha. Em is basically giving him money, an opportunity, and a foundation to get his music out there. Curious to see if anything comes of this?
Aug 9, 2019 Exactly, don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Agree 100%...especially when you haven’t made it big yet lol basically sabotaging your own career...and that goes in any industry, if someone believes in you and gives you an opportunity To be honest, I never heard of Conway, west side Gunn, until I heard they signed to Shady...I think they are good and I like them better than boogie....I think the amount of exposure they get from being with Em is incomparable....I’m sure there are many people like myself who only heard of these buffalo guys through Shady... Anyone else hear of these guys years before Shady deal?
Aug 9, 2019 Conway's views on Em not being bumped in the hood is the most rational one I've heard. He's saying complete facts. Not everyone can relate to Eminem's subject matter and it's totally fine. Not all want to listen to his fast raps over trap beats. They'd rather listen to the rappers who talk about the life they're living. But at the same time he's giving Em props that he cares for the culture and made sure that his friends ate too. Well done Conway. Lord Jamar can f--- himself.
