Oct 23, 2016 I don't see any 7/10 album in his catalog...he isn't the highest rated artist (and the most respected rappers by musicians) for nothing.
Oct 23, 2016 Recovery is a good album but GKMC and To p---- A Butterfly are far better. As for masterpieces, The Eminem Show and THe Marshall Mathers LP are flawless. Kendrick's albums can't be compared to those 2 greatest rap albums ever.
Oct 23, 2016 Eminem my favorite of all time but Kendrick's masterpieces are more impressive than Eminem's. Gkmc is considered as a rap masterpiece, and tpab is often praised by musicians, people with knowledge and other artists as one of the greatest album in music history, in any genre... Eminem will probably never have that kind of praise. Eminem is a better rapper, but kendrick knows how to make flawless music, can't say the same for Eminem. There's a reason if Kendrick's albums are being ranked higher than any Eminem album on most lists from respectable magazines.
Oct 23, 2016 Eminem hasn't earned the right to talk about someone's else music, so why did you make a thread about his annotation instead of a musical genius like Herbie Hancock ?
Oct 23, 2016 I don't know about you but I get bored when I listen to half of TPAB. There are like 5-6 flawless songs but the rest is forgetable to me and I'm talkin' musically not lyrically or anything else. As for TES, I can enjoy every f---in' song even though I have already listened to all of them 60 times more than any other album. So according to my own tastes, Kendrick is probably never gonna have that kinda praise. And I'M sure there are at least 10 million people thinkin' same as me, u don't have to have any kinda knowledge to like a music btw. :D
Oct 23, 2016 No album is flawless...but from a pure critical and musical standpoint, the Kendrick projects you mentioned are the only ones being close to that status. I like all of them equally though, I was just saying.
Oct 23, 2016 I listen to it every day, but I'm not talking about preferences... musically it's a masterpiece far more impressive than anything we have heard from Eminem. It's ok if you don't enjoy it though, but it won't change the fact that it's far better and it won't change the fact that musicians, people with knowledge and other artsits who know what they're talking about are gonna keep praising it as one of the greatest albums ever. But you're right, you don't need to have knowledge to enjoy something, but like I said, we're not talking about our preferences or what we enjoy...if that was the case, Encore would be a masterpiece.
