Nov 20, 2016 fun fact, bass bros receive 12% of any music Eminem sells for life. would love to know how em feels about this.
Nov 20, 2016 What many of you don't realise is that the Bass Brothers don't even work together anymore, they never revealed in the interviews this week why Mark and Jeff went their separate ways and some of you did hit the nail on the head, Eminem no longer works with them due to them still doing drugs in the studio and for the longest time it was only Jeff Bass Eminem worked with, he hadn't worked with Mark alone or even Mark and Jeff in many many years and when Jeff wouldn't stop smoking weed and drinking, Eminem separated himself from the situation. And some of you might find that a week excuse but as far as Eminem goes, there are no excuses anymore, he knows he can't be around drugs and drink, he knows he can't trust himself and he knows this is a battle he will fight for the rest of his life, it's not something you just GET OVER after a few years, it's an ongoing daily struggle with addiction that he has to fight and let's be honest, he has to fight it alone. He's on his own. And that's why things are the way they are. Many have known that to be the case for years and I hope this thread really informs a lot of fans of this because they need to move on and get over it. Eminem will never work with the Bass Brothers again on new material, the only thing you can hope for is things like this where it relates to older material which by the way, the Bass Brothers own. They own the master tapes to Infinite and all the other material he recorded with them including the Slim Shady EP and they do make money from all of his music. That's why you don't see any new Eminem clips here, Eminem doesn't own the Infinite album and by proxy, Interscope and Aftermath can do nothing either, they have nothing to do with it so the fact that anything is being done at all with Infinite is down to the Bass Brothers and you can thank them for that but fans really need to move on and stop expecting to relive the past. It's not gonna happen again.
Nov 20, 2016 welp, well s---... no chance of em ever releasing a true classic album unless dr.dre comes with absolute fire like relapse era beats...
Nov 21, 2016 unless they got buyout recently (which we have no reasons to believe its the case) they are still getting 12% on any $$ generating by em music. it was revealed in the lawsuit. so yeah, those guys are rich as f---.
Nov 21, 2016 One of the biggest misconceptions is Dre's involvement in Eminem's early career especially SSLP & MMLP. His co sign certainly helped & he did contribute in helping shape both albums being executive producer. But the Bass Brothers produced the majority of the songs especially on the SSLP. I think they have earned every penny received from those albums. Most of Eminem's best songs are not produced by Dre but by FBT.
Nov 21, 2016 Howhigh you mentioned Beautiful. Beautiful dates back to 2007. Infact many songs from Relapse/Refill date from 2007 with the rest being 2008. Even by the time Relapse came out in May 2009 most of the songs were well on their way to being 2 years old. Bagpipes from Baghdad was recorded in 2007 also.
Nov 21, 2016 They only Co-Produced half the songs on The MMLP Eminem produced half the songs and Dr Dre the other half The SSLP is the only album they ever produced for him and Relapse is the only album Dr Dre has ever produced for him When u look at Eminem's career he has produced the majority of his music himself as the main producer and either The Bass Brothers or Luis Restro the Co-Producers on the songs with Eminem as the main producer And by the way most of Eminem's best songs are produced by Eminem himself and Co-Produced by Luis Restro e.g. the entire Eminem Show album, Mockingbird, Spend Some Time, We As Americans, Crazy In Love, When I'm Gone, 8 Mile Road. Though The Bass Brothers have Co-Produced some of his best songs like Beautiful
Nov 21, 2016 As far as Infine album it is my least fave Eminem project ever. Can't stand this album at all despise it to be honest
Nov 21, 2016 Eminem "producing" songs equals to just telling Restro what to do while he actually does the hands on stuff
Nov 21, 2016 bagpipes was certainly not 2007. Careful What you Wish For, My Darling, and MAYBE Underground were.
