    wow the deflection is strong in this one..you know jews hold the first five books of the old testament sacred, as well as the rest of the old testament

    there are over 40,000 denominations in christianity who mostly pick and choose what they like in the bible..the bible is NOT a religion nor is it tied to any religion but rather the opposite

    i asked those questions though, because many many people not of the faith just resort to other books of mysticism such as Hermeticism or the Kyballion etc..which are all written by man, attempting to decipher how the world unseen operates and how humans relate to it

    The only deflection is from you. All mainstream religions are made to control population and are full of corruption. If you want to believe there's a god that's fine, but to believe in books written by men thousands of years ago is idiotic and #sad. I don't subscribe to any religion. We make fun of scientology and mormons as ridiculous because they're newer relgions but they're not different than any other religion that takes your money tax free and brainwashes you

    how am i deflecting?? you’re still repeating the same jargon about how religion created the bible when the bible is a literal compilation of books compiled after Jesus

    i don’t understand what your point is about ‘thousands of years ago’..thousands of years ago was still the present. when ever it was written should matter none

    you probably believe dinosaurs existed hundreds of millions of years ago because the fossils say so but it takes less than 100 years to fossilize something..this timeline is less than 6,000 years old. they lie about time, they lie about space to make us seem smaller than we are when earth is THE spotlight

    you don’t trust the bible because of man yet everything you believe or lack thereof comes from man

    "This timeline" lol holy delusions. Who is they? Who wins by lying? Yes Jet, dinosaurs were real. The earth is in fact round. Russia still hasn't beat Ukraine. You think people who believe in these things are sheep when you're the real sheep. The bible is hot garbage and so is any other religious scripture. Jesus was a real person but he wasn't an avenger with super powers. He was some dickhead who used people who were stupid enough to believe him. There were many people before him claiming to also be the son of god born to a virgin and also were crucified...how fancy. You want life to have some meaning because yours is boring and making up these wild stories gives your life more meaning I guess...do you not believe in evolution either?

    If you were raised in a culture shaped by Christianity then you can be sure it's influenced your worldview to some degree, unless you've made a conscious effort to confront its influence and have chosen to reject it in toto. Which you clearly haven't since you do in fact subscribe to one of Christianity's main tenets, racial and sexual equality. So in this way you're not so different from Christians who "pick and choose" parts of the Bible to believe. You just lack the self-awareness to realize that's just what you're doing.
